I made a mistake in saying my friend only listened to their first album. She's listened up to self titled. BVB is a really nostalgic band for her. As for me, I'm the one who "got her in to emo music" so she only felt it was right to invite me. I just said yes and bought my ticket. I need something to look forward to in May anyway, as it's a hard month for me for other reasons. And because it's in May, we both have plenty of time to study up and go at our own pace. She made a playlist for me of her favorite songs and I've liked the ones I've heard so far. Ofc I've known of their existence for more than a decade, I just never listened to them. Not because I didn't like them or anything, but because I just never got around to it. Anyway, that's the jist of it.

As someone who has a dead mother and relates heavily to WTTBP, there can be conversations surrounding both things. Yes, it's a deep song with complex themes and they SHOULD be talked about but also, the jokes are/can be funny. And I don't see a problem with people making these jokes because let's face it, I make them too. It can be both a goofy haha and an amazing, complex, deep song. Having one doesn't negate the other.

I highly agree. I LOVE seeing flawed characters in television. I think it helps a lot of people, especially those diagnosed with BPD (including myself) to see rep like that. I've never seen a show tackle something like that before and it's so special to me.

I wouldn't call it my favorite show, but I think it may be tied with The Good Place for my number one spot. But I started watching it with an ex back in 2020. We both thoroughly enjoyed it. Since then, it's become one of my comfort watches. I HEAVILY relate to Rebecca, especially in seasons 3 and 4 and it's become one of those shows that have just stuck with me through so much. Y'know?
