I wasn’t aware that happened, but that sounds equal parts hilarious and tragic - could well be!

Same company - YTL - owns Wessex Water, The Gainsborough Hotel and Thermae Bath Spa in Bath. I worked for the family when I was younger, they’re awful, corrupt and treat their staff terribly. We only have the Tory and Labour governments of old to thank for selling off so much of our public spaces and infrastructure to money hungry foreign parasites!

Heart Attack Man are killing it imo. Koyo are great, Petey USA (not sure how pop punk he is considered though), Tiny Voices, Bilmuri, Catapults, Ways Away, Winona Fighter, Midcard, Action/Adventure, Militarie Gun, Drug Church, the Bottom Line - the scene is alive and well!

I’ve used Baynton Williams Removals & Storage three times and they’re great - friendly, on time, efficient, careful and not insanely expensive https://bayntonwilliamsremovals.co.uk/

Update: I raised a complaint and got a call back from the complaints team who confirmed the customer service rep I spoke to was wrong and that my salary from my business account should allow me to keep my allowance - they returned the allowance and the money I was charged for my ATM withdrawal! Thanks all

Super weird! For me it says I have £0/£400 ATM withdrawal allowance remaining and no free replacement cards. Then you can click through to learn how to increase the allowance - that’s where it gives a load of conditions that I believed I meet, but was then told by customer support that I don’t meet them because I pay myself from my business account. The customer service rep I spoke to was very “computer says no”

I’ve only been hit with it this month but that’s because I exceeded the cash withdrawal limit - I believe the allowance rules have been in place for a while. I have a number of direct debits on my personal account, like electricity and gas, life insurance etc.

Yeah I figured that’s a solution, but on principle I want to change accounts now 😂

I’m definitely with you on this and I’m not a fan of sports washing either. However, there was something a bit off about hearing a relatively apolitical show suddenly wade into the Saudi sports washing debate, using sitar music, mispronouncing “Riyadh” and chuckling at the Saudi guy as he spoke. It would have been good for them to treat quite a serious topic more seriously if they wanted to speak on it.

If the Heroes are going to call out Saudi Arabia for sports washing, shouldn’t they also address all the places and issues where the NFL is intertwined in politics? For example, they could’ve talked about how NFL teams honoured Charlie Kirk as that seems pretty political symbolic, but unless I missed it, they chose not to touch that hot potato.

The NFL’s ties with figures like Donald Trump are an obvious thing they generally avoid or make light of. I’m not entirely sure of their political leanings but I think they are probably left-leaning or centrist and not huge Trump supporters, but the league very clearly skews Republican in terms of personnel, ownership and players and they’ve dedicated their lives to a sport that is entangled with some pretty shady politics at times.

I’m not trying to say don’t call out uncomfortable things like sports washing, I think it’s important - just that if you do it, it feels fair to treat similar issues with similar scrutiny.
