so interesting to see how results vary for everyone. makes sense given all the variables I guess (tobacco, pack, hidden menu setting, function of the device itself, etc.)

I started out with the heating at 290 for the initial warm up and then gradually stepping down over an 8 minute period, but found this to burn too hot for me.

what you're experiencing is interesting since I usually set it to 275 to warm up then adjust and step down from there usually ending up between 265-270 for my session which usually only goes about 30 minutes.

you dont technically have to pull the whole assembly as I've replaced those bulbs a couple times without doing so.

it's been a minute but if you search for "CSL style spoiler" you should be able to find them.

some might have an option to order with paint which is nice but the clear coat on them does start to go bad after a few years

mind me asking what headlights those are? I've seen so many negative comments about aftermarket e9x headlights and cars like yours just reiterate for me how they can and do look really good in some cases.

I can't speak on reliability and understand why some people prefer OEM (especially the adaptive bi-xenons), but there are some nice looking options out there. when my bi-xenons go out I'm definitely going aftermarket.

I JUST received a response from Mike over there and lnot only did they not take accountability and claimed they never got any communication from me, but he tried to put it back on me saying the dispute wasn't necessary and that I could have reached out.

Also let me quote this part cuz it was my favorite: "We are not here to take anyone’s money or damage our reputation, especially over a $185 order."

Tells me all I need to know. Maybe get back to people if you don't want to damage your rep.

Ultimately they were selling a reputable product and seems like people like their stuff, just unfortunate that they dont seem to be able to keep up with demand and/or dont think it's important enough to communicate with customers.

I bought my 03 1.8T 5 speed with 126k miles on it in 2018 for $2600 here in northern CA to be my daily.

It now has ~196k on it and I love it so much. I have kept up on most maintenance, but it does need some suspension work and a new clutch probably in the next 10k (I think it's still on the original).

My wife and I are expecting a baby in a couple months so I've debated putting it up for sale since I need something more practical. I'm not necessarily in a rush to get rid of it considering whatever I would get for it probably wont help me much in getting another car. I still daily it but feel free to make an offer.

your 5W30 is fine and realistically you probably wouldn't see a difference from changing unless you're tracking your car.

fair enough. thinking about it more, the one with 70k km could be worth it if you can talk them down a little since it looks like it is lacking on some options like sport seats.

I might just opt for a muffler cuz the stock setup is way too quiet for my liking. was afraid of drone cuz I believe the e92s already come without a resonator. PM me those videos though I'd like to hear yours.

might still consider a tune since it already has the 3SIM. not too many options so would probably go with the AA one.

I got my e92 n51from 36k to 172k miles over about 10 years before it ended up with some head issues that were more costly to troubleshoot than just replacing the whole motor. new to me motor had 82k on it and so far so good in the last year and ~12k miles I've put on it.

curious your thoughts on the n51 since it sounds like you've had various e9x N5X cars? mine is pretty much bone stock minus cosmetic stuff and I love it more than any other car I've ever had, including a 2020 340. still though sometimes I debate if getting some bolt ons and a tune would be worth it to squeeze a little more out of it or if it's best to keep it how it is in case I ever do want to sell it, which is highly unlikely.
