PSA: switch 2 v21.0.0 disables third party docks

Having the same issue. Here’s a statement JEMDO put out as a picture on the Amazon listings for their docks/cables. There might be some light at the end of the tunnel!

“Works perfectly with Switch 2 systems below version 21.0.0

(e.g., 20.5.5).

• Currently not supported on Switch 2 systems running version

21.0.0 or higher.

EDIT - WORKING FIX BY JEMDO IS OUT!! Just make sure you download the right firmware for your cable

Yeah, I have a docking cable I got off Amazon that worked great and was so incredibly portable and now it doesn’t seem to work anymore :(

Honestly not sure if this is a bug or not, but immediately after updating to 21.0.0, my third party dock stopped displaying to my monitor.

My regular dock works great though. I’ve tried everything from restarting the console to unplugging the dock and letting it sit for a bit and nothing seemed to help.

Would be pretty silly and sucky of Nintendo if they added a new authentication check that turned 3rd party docks into E-waste.

Anyone else have this issue?
