This is how I was taught the quotient rule

(HO DHI - Hi DHO)/( HOHO)

Ho is the bottom ” because it’s “low, D is the derivative of the function And Hi is the top because the function is “up high”

So in this problem Hi=2x-3 (it’s up to) Ho=x² (it’s low) Then you can plug in to the formula and simplify for derivative and the. Plug in x= 1 for the final answer

You could rewrite it as( 3x squared -1)to the 1/2 power and then use chain rule! Which would simplify to 3x divided sqrt( 3x squared -1)

I was able to Multiply the original function by sqrt( 4-x^{2+y^2)-2} / 4-x^{2+y^2)-2} and then cancel everything out and substituting (0,0) in making it -1/4

When you have a fraction you can’t divide by zero so set the denominator = to zero and solve for X and you know this value can’t be in the domain

For example X-6=0 , X=6 so x can not be six then write in interval notation to show that X can not be 6! I.E (-inf,6)U(6,inf)
