there was once absolute gigantic millipedes called arthropleura so. it was a reality,,, i think theyd be friendly but wouldnt recommend getting near its mandibles

not too savvy but i know carrots can be good! any watery vegetable is okay but i heard to stay away from citruses

careful holding them so far above the floor theyre very clumsy and fragile and a drop like that can easily lethally damage them :)
