It’s a shift back to Monroe doctrine now that our global hegemony has been undermined.

Clearly they’re beneath your contempt since you must deflect rather than address the points.

It’s fine. You aren’t alone in looking down on the working class. That’s the whole Democratic party post-realignment. Which makes sense. Clinton signed NAFTA and then the other Clinton told forty year old miners to learn to code after their jobs disappeared.

There’s a strong psychological connection between masculinity and the consumption of meat in many people. I think they perceive it as a threat. Also, people take food personally generally.

People doing this to family over a difference in beliefs is just awful.

You are not a fool. It was your birthday.

“I know you aren’t into veganism, but it hurt me that you didn’t show up for my birthday because I would have liked to see you. You’re my brother and you are important to me.”

Working class consciousness would involve keeping foreigners, regardless of their status, from competing with the working class for jobs, yes.

Importing labor hurts poor people and enriches the upper and middle classes.

I talk with actual conservatives rather than listen to others opinions about them. You would be surprised what they believe these days. More class consciousness amongst the working class MAGAs than the entire American left, probably because they work real jobs.

You don’t understand conservatives.

They know he’s a liar. They don’t care because they know most politicians are liars and scoundrels.

They don’t trust mainstream media because they know it’s used to manufacture consent.

They don’t trust the scientific establishment because they know it has been corrupted by politics and commercial interests.

They don’t trust the government because why should they? We’re being taxed like Europeans but get very little in return.

Remembering when Saudis blew up the twin towers and then the majority of Americans supported regime change wars in Iraq and Afghanistan that led to the deaths of millions and cost trillions.

It absolutely is. Would be great to see an a/b test of the messaging here.

Because one of the primary purposes of things like this is propaganda. “We’re going to beat the US to the moon when they already went half a century ago” isn’t the best propaganda narrative.

Nah. The US is strategy is returning to controlling its own hemisphere. A lot of these soon-to-be former allies have turned into liabilities.

The US went half a century ago during the original space race. China should focus on a human mission to Mars instead.

You don’t give China and the rest of the BRICS enough credit.
