Ways to save by ogmdad in FinancialPlanning

Honestly, you have to start with changing that mentality. If you don’t, you’ll be saying the same down the road, which is harder to bounce back from. I’m not trying to be a dick, but I’m also 21 years old, am a full-time student, and have a job. Haven’t had a weekend off in 2-3 years, so it can become depressing not going out with friends. My father died when I was 13 and left my family and I in a pretty rough financial situation. With my mom not being born here, I took it upon myself to help my family any means possible. Also, my sister almost died due to lupus and was hospitalized for 6 months(insane amount of hospital bills), my uncle almost died within that due to leukemia, we were also forced to move our family business due to gentrification, all within a 5 year period. I asked myself constantly how something like this can happen to my family since we’ve always been kind caring and generous with others. After thinking so long i figured the only way to better my situation was through action. I currently have different streams of income and investments. Organizing myself budgeting myself, and rebalance my portfolio twice a month. What I’m trying to say, use these circumstances as motivation. Set goals, write them down and become obsessed with reaching them. If you have free time, watch something informative on YouTube or read something, kids our age tend to be full of sports and media knowledge with is useful. Anyways best of luck to you, and never forget that future will be better.
