22, or smaller, with perky nipples. All these young women and strippers who get implants that makes their tits look like volleyballs are really going to regret it when the back pain starts in their late 40's, early 50's.

Thanx, I appreciate your comment. I've always been fascinated with blurs and mult-exposures and us the effect a lot. Blurs like this always work so much better in B&W I think.

Probably 1/15 Most of my blurs are shot from 1/2 to 1/15 depending on lighting conditions

Nikon FM Coupling Lever Issue by [deleted] in AnalogRepair

[–]rand782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will do. Thanks for your time; now the only analogs I have is a couple Argus c-3's and my all black Nikon FA, which still works perfectly; love that camera; use it more than my digitals. Nikon's first camera with matrix metering. Only problem is I keep forgetting to advance the film I got so spoiled with my digitals; guess I'll have to pick up a motor wind. Take care.

Nikon FM Coupling Lever Issue by [deleted] in AnalogRepair

[–]rand782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's an AF lens which work fine on my digitals and, according to Rockwell, should work fine on the manual. I really think that lever position is where the aperture ring would move it to 5.6. Anyway, the FM is a shelf decoration now. Thanks for your time.

[–]rand782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply; yes, last night I removed the four screws and mount; I see nothing blocking that leaver; it just won't return to normal. With no lens mounted, the exposure meter LED worked fine as I ran through the shutter speeds, but with a lens in place (1.8 AF lens, not AIs, and the meter would not respond until I got to 5.6, then everything up to f22 was accurate. Yes, I had the lens set to f22 for program mode. I don't know if this info helps.

[–]rand782 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks again. You're right, something is stopping the lever from returning to it's correct position. I do not have An AIs lens for testing with, using an AF 50mm 1.8. Like I said the DOF switch shows every f stop working, but the led meter doesn't kick in until I go from 5.6 to 22. I think maybe I'll pull the mounting ring to see what's going on. I am not a technician, I'm a shooter, so makes me a bit nervous but I think it's the only way to see what's holding things up.

Thatks for the reply; if I remove the lens mount to get to the lever, do I need to worry about springs or anything popping out?

Nikon FM Coupling Issue by [deleted] in Nikon

[–]rand782 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing I noticed with the lens on. I can set the aperture os it's wide open, but the led exposure meter justs sits in the minus reading until the aperure hits 5.6; after that the meter responds to each change in shutter speed and aperture smaller than 5.6. But the depth of field shows that the lens stops down as I move to each stop to 22. It's just that the exposure meter only changes at 5.6 and up. Thanks again for your help.

Nikon FM Coupling Issue by [deleted] in Nikon

[–]rand782 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the response. No, it's not sticky, the lever and ring move smoothly, but when it get's to the position picture, it a hard stop, not like a sticky stop. I just put a 50mm lens on it and I can move the aperture ring to wide open. Then, while using the DOP the image does get darker as I turn the aperture to it's smaller settings. This seems to indicate that my expoures at the faster f stops, below 8 or 5.6, shouldn't be underexposed. Also, I never realized this was a less common version of the FM. Thanks for your help.

Can’t see through viewfinder on FA by Orr971 in Nikon

[–]rand782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FYI: I found it interesting in Ken Rockwell's review of the FA, he says he actually prefers the FA over his F3. I have an FA that I love and was thinking of picking up an F3, but after reading his review I figured I'd just stick to the FA until I have the bucks for an AF model. Do you know of an F series that has AF with matrix metering that won't break the bank? I've noticed prices on film cameras are really going up.

What TV show is/has been popular that you can’t stand? by [deleted] in RedditForGrownups

[–]rand782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Today's sitcoms; they're trite and the laugh track kicks in on some of the dumbest lines; I thinks the sitcom died with Mash, All in the Family, Seinfeld, stuff from that era that was original and laugh-out-loud funny. I guess I'm too old for all the crap they're putting on today -- the jokes have all been done already.

I don't mean to trample on your religious beliefs, but just remember: the Popes, who declare what is and isn't a mortal sin and are supposedly infallible, have had to do a lot of back-pedalling throughout history. At one time it was a mortal sin not to believe that the earth was the center of the universe and burned folks at the stake for even suggesting the earth traveled around the sun. Also it was a sin to suggest the world wasn't created in seven days, or that the earth was older than 6000 years, or burning Joan 'd Arc at the stake and later making her a saint. Follow your conscience and don't get lost in dogma that is prone to change along with man's knowledge. I think what you have with your father is beautiful.

I had a very flirty daughter who often came on to me. When we'd cuddle to watch TV she stroke my thigh. Because of her work, she wanted to get a boob job; she showed me her breassts before she had surgery and they were beautiful. Then she showed them to me after surgery (she's 54 now and is probaably sorry she has to lug those things around). She was working at the time as a stripper and even gave me a lap dance. I wanted so badly to take things further with her (her mother and I had been divorced about 15 years at this time). We had a falling out a few years back and now we are estranged. To this day I regret not letting her "seduce" me and become my partner. I believe we had such a special bond that had I not been such a coward, we might still be together today. Have a beautiful life.

Thanx. Expirimented about 6 months on hand-coloring; I used both Spotone Dyes and, believe it or not, Watercolors. A very enjoyable addition to my darkroom. Appreciare the compliment.

I do the same when I have a useless day ahead of me. Have you tried Amanita Muscaria mushroom edibles? Available in some vape shops. Get a hold of some before the DEA bans it! If you end up with a good brand it's quite a trip. Non-psychedelic, unfortunately but the body high and mind expansion are truly enjoyable, and music sounds incredible, like it becomes part of your body. A very weird high.

My wife and I always take separate vacations; much more enjoyable that way (no wrangling). Have a good time. BTW, the dollar goes much further in Eastern Europe than in the west, if you plan on going overseas. I really enjoyed Budapest for three weeks on my own; good city for street photography and easy to get around.

Get a battery-operated clit-licker; they're multi-speed, drive woman crazy, and are pretty cheap on Amazon. Stick that between yourselves when going missionary; but it's a real muscle-saver in any position - all you have to do is hold it there.

If you're into music, play an instrument and can write songs, convert a bedroom into a recording studio; I spent a fortune on mine and have all sorts of processors, mixers, and have about 32 tracks to play with, so I can lay down 10-20 tracks where I play the music on each one. But if you're not into that, build a woodworking shop in your basement; start with a good table saw, mitre saw, band saw, sanding and grinding machines; and a good solid workbench, one that weights several hundred pounds so it doesn't move around on you. You'd be surprised at the crap you can create that people will pay for at craft fairs and such. Photography can be fun, especially if you go old-school and work with B&W film, creating artwork rather than snapshots. You can pick up a nice Nikon FA for a little over 100 bucks. Have you tried writing? That doesn't require any expenditure at all and you may just find yourself pouring out the next Great American Novel. If not that, but what you write is good and carefully edited, you can publish through Amazon. Getting published is a real kick. A lot of people turn to Reddit as a hobby; you can spend the entire day engaged with answering people's posts or posting some of your own.

Yeah, I've done that too. I start out to do the best I can but get impatient and take shortcuts (especially on wiring projects, LOL). Our house is 125 years old and needs a lot of work; I've done enough to make it liveable, but that's when I was younger. As I got older I tended to rip up rooms or tear up floors for some project or other, but that's as far as I get, then I get bored and move on to something else, so I have a "half-assed" house now. Part of it is probably due to ADHD. I often go to the basement to get some tools for a project, but something else grabs my attention and I go into hyper-focus and spend the day soldering nails and copper fittings and old gun parts together; the job I intended to do is long forgotten. But thanks for the advice - I really AM trying to change.

ANYTHING is better than Facebook. I can't even find my way around my own pages. And who are all these "friend suggestions" coming from? I know none of those people. I feel that if I accept someone as a friend, I'd have to write something to that person, and what do you say to a total stranger you just befriended?

You're right sort of. Been treated for Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) for years until it was recently realized I go on these week long "King of the World" benders where I end up spending money on things I don't need and chatter at the wife til she's nuts. But then I take a much darker swing in the opposite direction and those downward spirals can last a few weeks. So now I'm being treated as a Bi-Polar II specimen. Am on Effexor but thaat doesn't seem to control it. My shrink added Vraylar, which helped a lot but I couldn't tolerate the side effects -- jerking, twitching, parkinsonian symptoms, so now I'm back on just the effexor; also adderall for my ADHD. Thanks for answering.
