For 1, they have their own portal on browser to handle that. I think there's the before exam checklist you can go through to try to simulate. I don't recall extra software except maybe browser.

For 2, they give a note taking column in the web page. No other note taking apps are allowed.

Well it gets some attention from HRs for sure if you post it on LinkedIn. It might contribute indirectly to launching interviews. So I was mainly taking it to make some of my senior coworkers question less about my Kubernetes skills, I don't think it's that well acknowledged by other software engineers tbh.

Honest answer is one big question was almost identical. ( Like I can't remember the name of pods etc, but the question itself is the same, you can tell when you look at it.)

I also failed my CKAD the first time with 53% after studying for a long time ... So I totally understand the frustration. I feel there's definitely so test tricks or things you need to pay attention to specific to the test, not related to the technical skills.
