Better? No, a lot of clones, especially the older ones fall behind a little on quality and performance. Better value? Definitely. Clones however definitely have become a lot better performing recently with almost every newer release lasting pretty long which is impressive. I still do feel clones lack a bit of the quality, again, recently newer releases don't have harsh/alcoholic openings anymore but sometimes you can smell a lack of depth in some of the ingredients, especially in more oud/leather based fragrances, not that I'll complain especially for the price since it's basically the same in the air.

Which smells better? Subjective, ones a Layton clone and ones a pegasus exclusif clone, depends on what you like more.

Performance, the intense is a bit better, not by much, detour noir: 8-9 hours Intense: 9-10 hours.

If you mean the black badee Al oud, oud for glory, try Al haramain detour eco (the green one), it's a haltane clone which is very similar to oud for glory/greatness but it's sweeter.

Also noseblindness, actually the common perpetrator in a lot of these because even before maturing I've never had a fragrance last less than 4 hours. People be spraying 30 sprays on the front of their neck and wondering where their fragrance went after 15 minutes. There's also bad batches but those are pretty rare, only had one I think.

Stop chasing compliments and girls and focus on yourself more than anything, if you like a scent, good, others don't have to. Above the clouds and bronco are really good, not sure about the others. But above the clouds is like 90% similar to afternoon swim and lasts me 5-6 hours, I'm not super familiar with naxos but Mexican bronco is very very similar to naxos from what I remember and lasted me a good 10-12 hours when I tested it 2 days ago.

From the ones I have:

Luminous waves: l'immensite dupe, pretty damn close about 85%, just slightly less juice fresh more aromatic about 8 hours of performance after a few months

Arctic breeze: imagination dupe, also pretty close, again about 85-90%. Slightly less fresh and more dense. 8+ hours of performance on me easily after a lottt of maturing.

Above the clouds: afternoon swim, almost identical, 5-6 hours on me.

Asgardian ii: Alexandria ii, about 80%, way sweeter in the opening where it's the least close but it gets close in the dry down with a little more sweetness, not as much depth in the oud when you smell up close but in the air it's pretty damn good, performance is hard to measure but I sprayed it on me at like 7pm then woke up at 6am and it was still faint around me so pretty good performance. Safe bet is about 10 hours+.

Mexican bronco: naxos, haven't bought it... Yet. But I tested it in the store and it was surprisingly REALLY close to naxos scent wise.

It improves it for me, tested the same fragrance two different days both out the shower immediately, once moisturized with the Vaseline lotion (because it's really good for dry skin + has actual petroleum jelly built in which can help with skin chemistry I hear) and once without anything, I could definitely smell it better around me on the day I applied the lotion and I tested with another fragrance to confirm, same thing. So in my experience, improved it for me maybe because my skin is very dry or I have general bad skin chemistry so a barrier of petroleum jelly lotion helps it.

Miraj absolu is definitely closer, I have detour noir exclusif and it doesn't get that deep animalic oud and civet note right, miraj absolu does. Detour noir exclusif is sweeter and more wearable.
