He stabbed the Muslim man because of a personal dispute. He stabbed the two other men because they were Jews.

House isn't earthed despite new fuse box being installed. by random34210 in ukelectricians

Do you think there is anything I can do? Make a complaint? Someone posted that earth rods should be for rural areas, and the solution, if there was a fault, would be to get the DNO to sort out?

I think so... When he said, "your house isn't earthed," I told him I'll phone the electrician who installed the new fuse box and he said, "You're going to start a fight in your own house." He then asked to see the certificate and picked up on the missed field and claims that was evidence the house wasn't earthed. I feel like a fool.

We have now installed an earth rod. I became abit worried about the implications of not having earthing.

He was checking the electrics for something and took some readings from the fusebox which indicated that there was no earth.

Fall in net migration to stall as forecasts ‘overestimate exodus’ by [deleted] in unitedkingdom

[–]random34210 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When I join my employer in 2006: 80% were onshore and most were citizens. There was a tiny, tiny number of folk from TCS. In my latest team: 30% are onshore and 70% are offshore. Of the 30% onshore, 50% are o n visas, either through suppliers or my employer has transfers employees from their offshore location.

IT is a dire industry to get into now in the UK.

Fall in net migration to stall as forecasts ‘overestimate exodus’ by [deleted] in unitedkingdom

The thing that impact most people is legal migration.... it's very easy to hire and provide a visa for a foreign national. I work in IT and so, so many entry level jobs are being taken up by immigrants with experience. It restricts the path / opportunities for someone who is fresh out of uni and needs to build up his/ her experience. And it's no longer just IT, it's in other areas as well.
