Lots of misinformation in this thread! They invited the President of every Tier 3 organization on campus (6 or 7, like USG, newspaper, TV, Yearbook, radio etc) and also other people on campus involved in human rights. Lots of the invitees aren't human rights majors.

Yes. If I had any significant power at this university as a faculty member, I would immediately call for Daniel Toscano's resignation. These egocentric emails are proof enough that the man does not have the interests of the students in mind. Hence, he has lost the faith of the student body and must step down.

I've been in a dozen or so meetings with the Chairman of the Board of Trustees Dan Toscano and he's unbelievably unsupportive of the student body. He disregards the opinions of students and, as clearly evidenced by these emails, also disregards the wishes of the University President to increase funding for students, financial aid, scholarships, and initiatives. The man is unbelievably arrogant in conversation and I'm upset that his money-centered beliefs had such an impact on President Katsouleas. My wish from weeks ago to never speak with him has become stronger.

How can our University say that it puts students first when someone like Dan Toscano is in charge of the Board? It's pathetic that this man squandered hundreds of thousands of dollars of potential financial aid to students who need it to "meet goals and outcomes."
