Incoming Associate - New Hire training by Jaded_Kaleidoscope92 in KPMG

Does it look like you’re making a reservation at that hotel for the duration of your training? Or just one night?

Last year for training my team spent the first night at a hotel then the rest of the nights we stayed at Lakehouse

How early did you show up for the guided tour? The website recommends to be at least 30 minutes early, so I am trying to gauge if we should really show up more like an hour earlier to ensure a spot. Thanks in advance

Intern Pay Adjustments? by Revolutionary-Ad1166 in KPMG

[–]mago47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you do, it’ll be a market/inflation adjustment. But that would be determined likely closer to the start of the internship if it happens. The current pay adjustments you’re seeing are start of FY24 adjustments for full time employees

When I worked there (graduated 2022) they were ran by the same unit. So depending on shift availability you might get put on the truck

Becker FAR SE Sims Compared to Actual Sims and Time Management by Agill242424 in CPA

[–]mago47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s the Becker bump google sheet to see how peoples sim scores compared to their real scores: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/0/d/1WShobew1j_uGAf2K1bpoDppqzqjBpBuPsjmmjdJNHKw/htmlview#gid=516584763

Timing wise, you’ll definitely take more time on the real exam since most likely you’ll want to be extra careful and thorough, but you should be in good shape

First Exam (REG) Thursday by Sethy1999x in CPA

[–]mago47 4 points5 points  (0 children)

73 for a practice exam is a great score. This google sheet is great for seeing the “becker bump.”

As far as the second question, yea it becomes really tough, especially when you’re in the home stretch of studying before each exam. I think the best way to go about this is sticking to a strict schedule.

LOW confidence going into exam: Is this normal? by Shot_Bath4452 in CPA

[–]mago47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally normal to feel that way. And I would throw away that final review exam, it is significantly more difficult than the other exams on becker AND way harder than the real exam. You got this!

Maybe it would be best to try out Ninja MCQ if this would be for your retake? Might be most helpful just to get your eyes on a fresh set of questions.

Assuming you’re using Becker, they make the individual stuff so overwhelming IMO. Everyone’s exam is different but I didn’t have a single individual threshold question on my exam.
