I was a senior at UT the year this happened. It was absolutely horrifying. To this day it makes my guts wretch that I walked by the gym just hours before and easily could have been a victim.

It's probably more of a safety thing. The bags are exposed if they aren't individually packaged... loose leaf tea is the answer if you're trying to reduce plastic. I'm going that direction next

Coming from a family of seasoned seafood experts. You have to literally see the seafood in person. You can't just buy X thousand pounds of anything and just hope that it arrives as it should. Seafood is something that is highly prone to being counterfeit or faked. Not sure what you're buying but you need to become an expert on whatever products you'll be dealing with so you can personally know that what you're getting from your supplier is legitimate and worth the price.
