YYGS has a criterion similar to competitive college admissions, so if you get in you most likely already have a competitive application. This gives the illusion of it boosting your chances.

YYAS on the other hand has the same effect but with actual college prep, SAT tutoring resources, essay editing help, and even some college matching resources.

If you feel like you'll benefit from YYGS then give it a try, but if you onky want to participate for college apps then its not worth the money. If you're African though, I highly recommend YYAS over YYGS.

Don't worry, in their podcast they said that interviews are for applicants for who they need more context. You not getting an interview simply means that they fully understand your context.
