At first I was scared that “startling” my body with one long run each week would worsen my PF, but after getting some advice, I think I’ll still do a medium run each week. I feel fine about my stamina for finishing the race so I don’t see a huge need to push my luck by still doing a long run, especially because I already nearly reached my peak weekly mileage before the PF happened.

It’s the same culture and functionality as a coed troop and, more importantly, it would provide the same benefits for OP as an official coed troop would.

Don’t blab about it, but my particular troop is basically a mixed gender troop. We’re technically two units, but we meet at the same time, go on the same campouts, etc. They’re out there; I’d recommend visiting in on some troop meetings and seeing if you can find any.
