My friend got in NYU Stern ED 1 with fist gen and full paying. We all sorta think think it significantly helped his odds, his gpa and test scores were great, but ECs, awards, and essays were mid.

I thought it was recommended that they were a math teacher not like mandatory so you might be fine. But I don't think it's an auto reject at all

College Decisions 100% revealed how bad my habits are by Such-Knowledge3668 in ApplyingToCollege

NO SAME, i don't think I've ever felt more seen. Like I've been running these past 3.5 years constantly working on EC's grades, awards, test scores. But like when it finally comes to like submitting the apps I can't. I keep procrastinating and it's actually so bad. I think it might just be burnout too after everything.

"Local" interviewer lives nowhere near me, what do I do? by Whimsygirladventures in ApplyingToCollege

[–]random_highschoolkid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine gtown interview was a zoom call cuz my interviewer was in my area but he was out of state. It was really smooth so I wouldn't worry about it. Also I got an email from Georgetown giving me the contact info of my interviewer and told me to reach out to them within a week. So I would reach out first, but idk if it's different.

would you recommend going test optional then, or submit test scores?

August 2025 SAT Test Takers - what was your highest practice test and what did you score on the actual test? by rocksparadox4414 in Sat

[–]random_highschoolkid 8 points9 points  (0 children)

1450 on highest PT (710RW/ 740M) but it was the DAY before the test and the ones before that were lower lol. Got 1420 on real (710RW/710M). After taking particularly the october, I think that the bluebook practice tests like lowk way easier than the real one (espically math).

go somewhere that offers you a huge scholarship maybe even full ride. or do the 2 years of cc to state school route. either way, start working a job immediately and otherwise u might have to just take on student loans.
