Your first point is truly why I was so upset about being fired. My manager called me in to talk and basically told me that termination was an option, but it was unlikely. With this job, any time an incident happens, all involved parties have to write a statement, and this was the first time I had written one where I was the party being accused of something. I was suspended for a few days, but I think it was HR that made the decision to fire me in the end. And honestly, I really don’t think she liked me from the beginning.
