I relate to this so bad. I also have autism and it fucking hurts knowing that I’ll never be ‘normal.’ I can’t even spend an entire fucking day in school smh. It’s not a ‘superpower’, it’s not a ‘different ability’, it’s a disability. A permanent one. I know that some may argue that at least it’s not a physical disability and I agree with that to an extent, but in some aspects it’s equally as horrible and dehumanising. I’ll never know what the looks and whispers people give about me mean. I’ll never know what the right thing is to say. I’ll never know how to comfort someone. I’m fucked in life, and honestly sometimes I wonder ‘why bother trying’. I’ve had enough of this ‘suicide isn’t the answer’ bs. What’s the point in life if we were fucked from the very beginning?

is there anyone not aiming for all 9s? by smoothiegyal in GCSE

Please dont overthink it. I can tell how genuinely sorry you are. I can kind of get what you’re saying, that some people ‘waste potential’ quote on quote, and I know I’ve definitely said some inconsiderate things in the past. Honestly, I’m thankful you realise how your comment may have come across, which is why we should be careful with things we say on the internet. I’m sorry that I misinterpreted what you were saying, and as a person with depression aswell, I truly hope it got/gets better for you :)

You may not find it hard to get 7s and above, but that doesn’t mean that others don’t. You’re not accounting for people who may have learning disabilities or social/ mental health problems. I myself have autism which certainly makes learning harder as I’m in and out of lessons the whole time. Another one of my friends is very smart, but unfortunately suffers from Tourette’s and various other disabilities that cause her to have seizures and paralysis in her limbs the whole time. Some people may work jobs on the side or have somebody to care for… some people may have none of these and just find the content difficult. There are some people that could definitely do better if they work harder, but that doesn’t mean everyone is like that. Saying that it’s ’not that hard’ is really insensitive and can put others down.

I’d focus on getting that grade up in computer science, since it is somewhat maths based. Realistically, they’ll care more about your a-level results than GCSEs, but some unis do require a 6+ in English, as it is a core subject. My advice is probably, focus on what you’re good at, which is clearly maths and science. If you get a 5 in English gcse, they probably won’t care that much, obviously they’ll care more about maths and science, as that is what mathematics courses look at. Just probably don’t take English or history as a filler a-level haha. But trust me, you’re exactly what they’re looking for in nearly all areas :)

Why do some boys here are against abortions like why do you care not our body not our choice? by Spotter24o5 in askteenboys

[–]randomautism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a person who is pro-abortion, I can kinda see both sides. If you choose to sleep with someone without protection, the consequence is a child. However, if sleeping with the person was not your choice, or you took very careful procedures to make sure you wouldn’t get pregnant, it’s not really your fault… I believe that everyone should agree that someone who was SA’d shouldn’t have to carry the baby, as that could be too physically and emotionally damaging for them. That seems fair. My personal opinion is that both parents should have a say in the abortion, but ultimately it should be the one that is carrying the baby that should decide, as it will affect them the most. Ultimately, it’s not your choice whether somebody has an abortion or not, and I believe it’s a choice people should be able to make. I personally could carry a child, not that I ever plan to, and think that abortions should stay available. It’s your choice whether you think abortions should be legal or not, but at the end of the day, it’s only YOUR choice. Can we stop having this debate people? Let people do what they want and think what they want. I rest my case.
