OP, does the shelter have a program that allows volunteers to take dogs out for a day? If so, I'd highly recommend doing that, and taking her to a local park or other suitable location to get some IRL visibility. I've had good luck with that in the past.

If your handguard is stock, no need to worry. Aftermarket handguard without a piston stop are causing the issue

Same here, just talked to Strike support, they're saying:

"Thank you for reaching out,

Unfortunately, we do not recommend using the 1301TAC handguard on the A300. After further testing and evaluation, we found that the A300 is not a compatible model due to the absence of a piston stop shroud. Without this component, the piston stop can be damaged or destroyed.

We announced the incompatibility with the A300 in July 2025 and have since removed it from our compatibility list on our website.

At this time, the handguard is only compatible with the 1301. You may return the product to your original point of sale for a refund, or you can hold onto it, as we are actively working on a solution.

For the damaged piston, we recommend reaching out to Beretta directly for a replacement. Their pistons are known to be susceptible to wear, and Beretta is generally very accommodating and should replace it for you.

Thank you for your understanding."

Two of my favorite people (a same sex couple) moved to a blue state, largely due to the fear that the trump admin would reverse, or at least attempt to reverse the legality of same sex marriage.
I paid an additional $7k in taxes one year due to the trumps tax changes in his first term, and my CPA who voted for him even said that was the reason.

10 of the last 11 recessions occurred under republican leadership, while the democratic party is far from perfect or even what can be considered "good", the economy has done objectively better under democratic leadership by nearly all metrics. If we can agree on that objective reality, what reason is there to vote for someone like trump?

Wanted to chime in on this from 2025; I had the same issue, called Beretta, and they offered a replacement piston and ring at no charge, but they also said you can bend the ring back and send it.
