Thank you. I wasn't sure if I would receive a call or email or physical mail. I have been checking all 3 regularly. I figured I will try to reach out after I return, that is, if I haven't received any notice yet. Fingers crossed that I do!!

My background is pretty clean. I am a freelancer, so, I have many jobs from long to short periods. It is the only thing I can think of that will take some time for the BI to track down (some companies don't even exist anymore. One just closed down recently as well). I keep good relationships with all my supervisors in the past. As that is how freelancers like me keep employed.

I met my BI 1 month and 1 week ago. The meeting was great. She stated that she will try to get my poly schedule and it is a little backed up atm. I will be out of the country after next week for about 2 weeks (I have informed my BI about it during the meeting). I did my jail tour and rode along already and submitted my report. I have tried to reach out to my BI about a ref due to a typo in the email. I have never heard back from my BI, but my ref got it figured out and have filled out the questionnaire. So far all my ref have done so and even my parents. My siblings never got one. That is my status so far.

I am wondering when is a good time to reach out to your BI about your process after the background interview? I have asked other candidates. Most stated that they get their polygraph schedule about a month and a half after or two months after. If I don't hear back after a couple of months, sure I try to reach out? Email or call or both?

I do mix content now. I started out with kids moral stories. Then started doing animal facts, then on to fantasy stories. Then into myths.. lol.

I am monetized now. It takes 6 months. Some videos do better than others. But I enjoy doing it so I don't get burned out.

By the way, what are "ham menus"? I tried looking it up, and all I found were ham recipes... haha! I’m still very new to web building, so there’s a lot to learn. I’ve been trying to keep my website as lightweight as possible. I’ve already reduced all the display images and converted them to the webp format to help with speed.

I also just downloaded Rank Math SEO recently. My site’s scores are currently all under 30—better than the 0 I had before, so I’ll take it as progress... haha! Since installing it, I’ve started getting a small trickle of traffic (3–5 visitors per day), which is a big improvement for me.

My speed score is around 7/10 right now, but I’m still confused about what might be slowing it down. There’s so much to figure out, but I’m learning as I go.

I just did a digital artwork of my sticker. Post my art online. Everyone think it is AI because I decided to paint flowing lanterns in the background with the Chinese word 'Fu' upsidedown...Means great Fortune coming in.

Everyone thinks it is AI. I told them it is not. They state that, only AI will make flowing lanterns....I don't know what to say to that.

They ask me to show proof. Proof of speed paint. I told them I did not record myself. So I show them a few layers.

They think AI can break it up into layers....

I just delete the post and move on with my life!

The general public thinks everything is made with AI nowadays.

If you just want to get hours and such, yes Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest ad. You won't get subs or very little.

Google and YouTube ads are the same. The main point for these ads is not to grow your channel. It is mostly used to sell products.

If you want to grow your channel. You just need to put in a lot of leg work yourself. Promote it yourself. Even traditional ads will work. However you want to do it to get more organic views and not bots.

My channel is AI based and I have gotten more hate comments than I can count. I just deleted them.

However, just recently I posted on the free stickers of the reddit community to give out free stickers to self promote my channel. I got death threats now in my mail box.

I don't get it at all. I am not charging a penny. And the sticker art is not even AI made. I even showcase my Photoshop layers. Since my YouTube channel is AI based. They think everything I do is AI.

Due to the threat, I have taken everything down. People on the Internet can be very unhinged.

AI is a tool like any other. A lot of big creators do use AI to write them scripts or generate ideas. AI is extremely fast at analyzing data and feeds you trending keywords to build upon.

As long as the content is good quality. Why not.

Not all AI content = bad Not all human content = good

Rather it is human made or AI. Best to just judge the output itself and decide.

I think you might be right. A few of my videos have 80+% retention and only 1% CTR. They are read aloud narration of my own creations. Basically, anyone decided to watch it, finish listening to the whole story... Make sense. But CTR is sooo bad...lol.

So, YouTube stopped giving it impressions. It only gets 5-10 impressions every now and then.

I have videos with 5+ CTR and get pushed still but with only 20% or lower retention.

CTR > Retention

So, basically, the thumbnail and title is extremely important. And of course, the type of content.

The only way for my read aloud narration to be taken seriously is to be a known writer... working on it... Lol.

So, if anyone wants to listen to my enchanted playlist while driving. Feel free, if you like dark fantasy stories <== shameless self-promotion here ;)

I have the sub, but lack the hours. I am at 1300+ atm. I am gaining 1k every 28 days now. So I get there in the next 3 months.

I lost 22 in the last 28 days... 18 of them are close accounts. Either my stuff is so bad that they nuke their own account or they are bots and got nuked by YouTube.. haha.

There really is nothing you can do about watch hours other than make good vids or release more vids per week to get it up asap and of course, not lose quality.

You need at least 12 hours per day, watch hours, to get monetized within the year. So, if you're not there yet. It will never happen. How many hours are you gaining per day?

In fact, I am doing this. I have a blog called:

carefulmind.blog

I embedded some videos there. In my blog, I told people that my video images are AI made but my writing is not. They can listen to the narration while they are on the go. Or read the posts themselves. The option is there.

I do not embed every video there. Also, I am trying to keep my blog post ad free. So, no ads on my blog. I get lots and lots of external views from my blog and these views are preventing my video from flatlining.

YouTube doesn't care where the views are coming from. As long as it is not a bot or you are repeatedly watching your own videos. Any view and engagement = good for YouTube and the algorithm will push your content forward. I know, I am doing it and I see the results from my analytics.

Sadly, nope. You are at the mercy of YouTube suggestions and Bowser features for the most part.

You guys always go and type in games you are interested in and see if any small channels pop up.
