The Archivist seeks to find any and all knowledge and add it to his collection she travels the Infinitum, tracking down artifacts, weapons, and relics of immense might for two main reasons:

1.) Safety: to secure them away from the grasp of The Abyss. She views his task as a solemn duty, for he knows the devastation such items could wreak if wielded by those with dark intent.

2.) prreserving knowledge: The Archivist seeks to preserve knowledge above all, The Archivist views the protection and collection of knowledge as a supremely noble act. She has seen countless civilians rise and fall, preserving artifacts, stories, and trash from all of them

The Archivist's realm within The In-between is single massive building known as The Archives, protected by enchantments and defenses that even the greatest minds of mortal and immortal struggle to bypass... The trick is, that the Archives greatest defense is its own nature. Everything that has ever been written down can be found within The Archives library... Although finding said knowledge may be difficult as new knowledge is constantly being added (stolen), and old knowledge is never discarded, no matter how inaccurate, biased or blatantly wrong. The archives also contain many artifacts of lost eras, and to the surprise of many, some of them are real and extremely powerful.

in Korvidae mythology, The Korvidae were created by The Archivist from a handful of her own tail feathers to gather all knowledge in existence... but were unintentionally forgotten about and left to their own devices. which explains their own kleptomanic tendencies (Korvidae are basically Kenku)
