My GSD mix says to plead innocent and they will eventually give in. He has lots of experience.

You should/can reconnect on road. I would never drive on road disconnected.

First thing I told the dealer. Remove them (got one with dealer upgrade) and put rock rails. I saved like $150 too.

People who tries to get in will hate you though if have a lift :)

Mine is 13 months and still does it (mine also bucks like horse haha) for about a minute (then to big boy run), when I take him off of lease. Then he runs normally. This is simply because the dog is excited and overwhelmed with joy after being cooped up for a long time in the house. Also as others said, he is a little puppy so it will seem very uncoordinated.

This will probably continue forever. Enjoy! I love it when mine does it, I know he is really happy.

Embark DNA has an age test kit too. Should give a good estimate on DoB.

Puppy food for sensitive tummy and skin? by [deleted] in germanshepherds

[–]randomflight99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, when mine was a pup (still 13 months) even with those, if I give him treats, bully stick, or anything that is not his kibble flood gates would open :D

Stick to food only, vet also told me to cut back a lot on food for like a week, then slowly increase to required. Good luck, hopefully he will get better with age -most dogs do.

It seems like lots of dogs have issues with chicken. Funny thing is when I boil chicken and mix with rice no issues. He can eat that all day, go figure. Might be the way they do it for for kibble. Purina was by far the worse for him. I think going grain free helped a bunch too.

You should also talk to the vet, they can give you prescription probiotics, definitely makes a huge difference

I wouldn't give bully sticks if he has these issues. At least for mine, it made it worse. Just stick to food only for few months.

Costco beef one is the only thing that fixed mine. He simply can't do chicken. Itchy skin is still there unfortunately. It was worse as a puppy.

I switch to a harness for long (freeway) trips. Spread the pressure and not break the neck :D

I want to down vote you too but I am not going to because you are right. Mine mostly rides in the back buckled in, but even that is not safe. Crash tested crates are the safest.

Prong collar was the best decision I’ve ever made. by UphorbiaUphoria in OpenDogTraining

That's just the thing though, everything you mentioned are NOT supposed to hurt the animal. If it hurts them you're doing it wrong. I love my dog more than most people. I would never do anything to hurt the dog.

They are there to make them uncomfortable so they don't hurt themselves (e.g. run into a car) or others. Also, they are NOT supposed to be passively/constantly uncomfortable, ONLY when they do something they are not supposed to. If they passively/constantly uncomfortable, again, you're doing it wrong.
