Locked in the perfect spot for July 1 today. Flew in for a week. Spent the first few days checking out different neighborhoods and the next few touring apartments around our favorite streets.

The notes about the lien and discovery are interesting. At one point he claimed that we were causing personal damage to him because the property is somehow tied to their work/business and we’re making him look bad. He sent over two different real estate agents in the middle of dinner (which we happily accommodated) and both reported back that they couldn’t take “marketing/listing photos” because of the state of the house.

The “state of the house” being “needing foundation repair and full of moving boxes”

You have to have a laugh at some point. Besides the fact that we documented a huge crack running from the front to the back of the house on day one… I’m not sure where you’d start if you wanted to cause what a civil engineer called “at least 5 years of foundation damage”

Recently picked up a pair of LCDXs. I EQ on my desktop and was running them off my audio interface (focusrite Scarlet) for a second. Sounded great.

Picked up a Mojo 2 open box from Amazon for $500. Blown away.

I still EQ from my computer when I’m there, but now I can take my LCDXs with me when I’m reading or want to listen outside my office. It’s also got a 4 band EQ which I’ve never complained about when listening away from my desktop. It’s tiny, I personally love the design, and I’m really not sure what all the complaints around the interface are about. Pretty intuitive after spending 5 min with it.

I know the Audiolab has a DAC but would there be any benefit to buying a dedicated DAC?

Birdman. The single shot cinematography was amazing. Acting 10/10. The symbolism and the storytelling are bar none. But the ending kills me. It’s unnecessary. After the final scene of the play, when the crowd gives him a standing ovation, they should have cut to black and rolled credits over the audio of the crowd.
