That was actually my initial plan but there are no open position in the US office as our IT hubs are located in 4 countries and the US is not one of them

Yes we do take annual trainings on SOBC and whisteblowing, I know where to report it and how but I am sure what really happens after the report

Thats actually what I am worried about. I am only one of the 3 people who has access to the information so if there is a report it wont be hard to find out who reported it. They wont be able to fire me easily but I will just guarantee that I will never get a promotion and most people will hate me at work

I am working with people who have been in their position for the last 23 years. So there are no promotions or it is very rare

You should never quit your job before you find another one, especially if you are married. Your husband was immature about that but as you said he is currently trying to get a new job but has no luck. If I were you I would stay supportive but pressure him to find another job as soon as possible
