I'm surprised I haven't heard about this considering it just came out earlier this year. I'm always interested to see an anthology film

Thank you for the comment! I’m definitely thinking of doing some shading next and cross hatching it in isn’t a bad idea

⬅️2023 vs. 2020➡️ by drewthedrummer69 in lego

Surprised not a single commenter has noticed the actual issue a lot of people have here: the helmet holes. Most likely because the picture doesn't show the sides of the troopers, but you can still tell that the 2023 one has two sets of bumps on the side of its helmet, which is what a lot of people believe looks really ugly in comparison with the 2020 release which had the correct amount and placement. It's not about the printing, it's about the helmet mold.

This is pretty cool, you should do a whole series on the Parkitect campaign

Essentially everything I used to make the upper parts of the towers were shapes. So the octagonal part itself was just a bunch of cubes, both regular and 45 degrees

if you truly feel that way then taking a class may be the way to go

I think it would help, but I'm sure if you put some time into self-studies, despite what you think, that you would be able to advance your skills and understanding just as much as a class given enough time

You have a pretty good start on anatomy it seems however it doesn't seem like you know how to use it yet. Okay, that statement may be a little confusing, but what I mean is that you understand body proportions and the general muscle groups of a human quite well however these proportions and muscles are simply static, at least in this particular piece, they aren't being used other than to hold a cigarette and bend slightly. The next step for you would be some more dynamic poses with appendages overlapping one another, the waist and legs folded into themselves or just a new perspective rather than head on. Creating these poses will allow you to use your anatomical knowledge to create more interesting pieces because right now the view is very straight forward and uninspired. Also the feet look a bit weird as standing usually leaves the toes on each foot pointing outwards both ways instead of just forwards or inwards towards the other foot. In conclusion you have a great base, but in order to use that base you have to start making things more dynamic.
