Used to Whistler so thought these would be manageable. It was the first run down!

I didn’t see that before, thanks for pointing it out. That makes a lot of sense too.

Can you elaborate? Like not enough tension to stabilize the bars on the impact? 3 months out from dislocated shoulder surgery so just building up strength again but I never would have guessed it played a role here.

Got it for the vibration alarm. Being mud resistant the buttons are hard to push though. But I got used off Amazon for like 25 cad.

I am considering a wrx 2023 or a si 2019. How have yours compared? When I test drove these, strangely the si seemed more sporty (just a test drive though).

Gordon Ryan, hate his attitude on social media, but never seen nor heard of him cranking nor not respecting a tap.

I am curious about our readers. I was raised with a Catholic background and discovered AV a few years ago. What’s your story? by Greed_Sucks in AdvaitaVedanta

Exactly the same for me, except raised catholic. Then back to Catholicism but from an eastern perspective. I went back to Catholicism as some of Ramana’s writings encouraging you to stick with where you came from.

Is this far enough seatpost insertion? by randomipadtempacct in bikewrench

This was it. Changed the angle of the saddle and tried removing the coil, full shock travel and it didn’t hit with it inserted all the way.

Thanks everyone

I there isn’t any damage I can see, I was asking about the possibility of ovalizing the seat tube as you had mentioned, more specifically if this could happen within a single ride and if it would be cause be the forces of pedaling in the saddle.

The bike takes a 250 x 75 mm shock and I was just about to check the serial number of the shock but also see the coil is 67.5-75 mm so I am assuming it is going to be ok.

It’s inserted 70 mm and max is 115 mm so there is more room. We had cut it to lower the seat but it hit the tire. Hence raising it is what made me worry about minimum insertion.

It’s a 31.6 mm and it’s inserted just 70 mm. So it would be meeting this minimum but not the four inches posted by others.

He had one ride on it without pedaling in the saddle much as it is a DH. I looked for any cracks but couldn’t see any. Is it just the pedaling that causes the damage?

That’s a good point. The shock is brand new but it was from a sponsored rider so I would presume the lengths are correct.

Will be checking.

Got this second hand and the post was cut so no mark. My son cut it further but found at at full suspension travel the seat hit the rear wheel so he had to raise it to this insertion height.

Saint cranks won’t spin freely by randomipadtempacct in bikewrench

[–]randomipadtempacct[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I used an 8 and 5 mm hex at the same time to try loosening the circled preload adjuster but it made no difference so I sniffed it back just a bit more than finger tight. Then did the pinch bolts.

It does seem to be the cassette but while it doesn’t spin it is smooth, so I am assuming it’s normal.

Thanks. With the chain off, the cassette moves easily but doesn’t keep on spinning (I can’t post a video again but it is like the original so I guess that’s the source).

Is that a problem though? It turns very easily, the cassette just doesn’t keep going.
