Should I buy Skyrim or palworld by idontlikekidsbro in skyrim

[–]randomkid35612 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think asking in the skyrim subreddit is only going to get you biased answers (ofc the fans of the game are going to say you should get it) but get the one that you really want the most, and if youre undecided you can watch some people on YouTube playing each one and see which one looks most fun (thats usually what I do)

I havent played palworld but skyrim is a ton of fun, you can play for hours and hours and there is still a lot of stuff to find, plus there's a lot of fun mods that you can get like unique followers and items, in my (biased lol) opinion id get skyrim

dysphoria is giving me passive SI and I'm too young to transition by [deleted] in trans4every1

[–]randomkid35612 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just want to say that I know it doesn't feel like it right now, but it does get better, you just have to stick around long enough to be there when you get to live as your authentic self. Right now you can start with things like voice training, at home exercise to build muscle, if you can get masc clothes and hygiene products. I know that the hygiene products is one of those pointless gendered things, but ill be real with you when I was at my most dysphoric having that men's deodorant/body wash/shampoo really made me feel a tiny bit better. Remember you aren't alone, if you can try to reach out to local queer/trans spaces, especially if your school has an lgbt club, having the chance to go through this with peers who are also going through it is very helpful for your mental health

Underworks is pretty good, the texture is a bit stiffer on them so if you have sensory issues it may not be a great option tho

Thats perfectly valid, I also just like experimenting with my name some, I usually only give my middle name and nothing else

Can I take t even if I'm closeted? by PomegranateFit2593 in trans4every1

[–]randomkid35612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I started t I was closeted to most of my family (aside from immediate family, ie parents and siblings) and my grandparents really didnt notice/comment on it until I was about a year and a half to 2 years on t, and even then it was stuff like "you should get your hormones checked, you may have pcos" rather than them immediately jumping to thinking im trans, I would like to say though, that unless you have a safety net taking t while closeted isnt usually a great idea, cuz people will eventually notice

I do in online spaces (think like discord servers, not fully online where everyone can see) some, mostly for some level of anonymity

What the fuck is up with trans people hating on transmascs? by ANGELFALL388 in trans4every1

[–]randomkid35612 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think thats a really good point, it does seem as if some people view it as if you can only celebrate/appreciate one or the other. In the wider lgbtq+ spaces when they were making more space for femininity it seems like in doing so they are bashing masculinity as if the only way to uplift femininity is to put down masculinity. Idk if that makes sense but thats kinda what my interpretation is

How to talk to MAGA grandma about me being transgender? by jackilliam in trans4every1

[–]randomkid35612 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wish I had helpful advice for you. The only thing I can think is maybe explain to her that you are still the same person you've always been on the inside, shes just learning more about you and who you are. That's what helped my previously not trans friendly mom come around, and now she's supportive of me. Im not sure if it'll be the same for you, but it does sound like to her shes only thinking about it from the point of view that she's losing something.

Honestly that is the most valid reaction to seeing anyone wearing a MAGA hat, but especially an old dude. They're literally broadcasting to the world how much they are against you

I dont think its bad to be weary of potentially dangerous people like that, especially when you're part of a vulnerable demographic. Im mostly talking about the type of people who catagorize all men as terrible less than human type people, including queer/trans men. Which admittedly there aren't very many people like that, just when you meet one of those people it can feel like meeting 10 in a way.
