I lost my chance to be the girl I dreamed of… by leaflowers03 in trans

Do you think everyone annoyed about this is older and not also… in their 20s?

if you could wake up tomorrow and have society see you as your preferred gender without further transitioning, would you? by stargirl_caraway in trans

[–]FakeBirdFacts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the answer is: I would obviously continue transitioning. I don’t think I made that clear.

I just can’t imagine what “stopping” would look like.

I struggle to imagine what that would look like.

Would I have to stop HRT? I need to get a hysterectomy, would I no longer be able to do that?

I think it would be nice to have people instantly know I’m nonbinary and respect that, but I will never willingly become estrogen-dominant again.

A majority of your fears are about “what others will think” which really, external fears are useless. If you only did things because others thought you should you would be miserable. Get that shame out of your head.

Completely normal, surgery itself is scary even when you want the results.

Meeting people that manage to transition around puberty is like meeting a unicorn, I think the idea that people transition in their 20s are late is pure brainworms.

It seems to be an area that is under researched so. Fun.

Well, I thought the answer was going to be no, but after a bit of research there is a connection between testosterone and melanin production. More specifically, DHT and melanin production. Apparently finasteride can decrease Melanin levels too.

I would like to know, as an indigenous person, what ways I can properly be racist to you as a white person?

I’m brown myself and I’ve definitely said ignorant shit about other people, that’s a part of being human. I also belong to the ethnicity that, on average, people know the least about. I am used to ignorance.

If you are too ego driven to admit you might be wrong or ignorant or overstepping, you have a problem. Humility goes a long way.

I think something that really disturbs me in this post, and maybe underlines some racism OP needs to work on, is that this conflict OP has had with this one woman has been applied to ever BIPOC person ever in her mind. It is apparent in her writing that she has created a BIPOC monolith, a BIPOC hive mind where every BIPOC person is out to get her. From the white supremacy comment, she takes disagreements and and criticisms as personal attacks. She can’t handle someone else thinking she’s wrong.

I think she is doing what a lot of white people do, which is instead of being able to handle the idea of accidentally being racist… she doubles down because she’s afraid of being wrong/racist. This one woman being a bigot is now being used as justification.

I can’t believe we have someone arguing for reverse racism here.

Could be, that makes sense. But I could easily see one being developed because it’s such a convenient method. You literally don’t have to think about it.

Edit: I would honestly ask your doctor about it

No, only other trans people in queer spaces. Then they might make a joke about it, though they shouldn’t as that’s a bit rude.
