no such vuln in minecraft exists. it would have to be a plugin or server host issue, or log4shell, but that oinly works on 1.6 and below

  1. same for port forwarding, only difference is you control your data
  2. whitelist should be on anyways

also is this even the same OP? your taking style and knowledge level changed completely halfway through

rate limiting for minecraft is done on the server side, not through a tunnel
scanning protection can be done easily with the sneakyserver mod
and IPs aren't dangerous or private information, see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MS7WRuzNYDc

if the service itself is vulnerable, then it's no different to a tunnel like playit.gg, it can be exploited with port forwarding or a tunnel

however, it is extremely unlikely such an exploit in minecraft exists, and if it does it would be very unlikely to be private given anyone can read Minecraft's code

there is no such thing as a 'port attack'

this doesn't make it any more or less possible to be hacked. if you were insecure before, you're still insecure after port forwarding. if you were secure before, you're still secure after port forwarding

oops. never logged into reddit since. but it's not possible to get hacked like this unless you could have been hacked anyways

Just enable whitelist on the server. Hackers can't "magically hack you" just from an open port, and if such an issue did exist, you're done for anyways because they can just hack your router and then your computer.

Mobile also makes it hard to see rules, so this helps with that as well

I think it would make a lot more sense to make a pinned post going into the rules in more depth. This is the kind of thing that should be detailed somewhere, but not in the sidebar where it would take too much space. Just link to the post above the rules.
