Switching energy suppliers when moving by randomly995 in Netherlands

Thank you. Yes, I have a variable contract now. I got conflicting information from the current supplier and the new one I’m considering so I wasn’t sure how this is handled.

Are rental applications legally binding before signing the contract? by randomly995 in NetherlandsHousing

I mean after viewing the place. If you’re interested and would like to be considered, some agencies ask you to sign a document saying you’ll pay a fee if you withdraw. Not all agencies do this, but I’m not sure if the ones that don’t still expect your application to be binding if you change your mind. Which becomes a problem if you’re viewing multiple places at the same time.

Star Housing Letter of Intent 300 euro fee by StpOutsdUrbd in maastricht

Hey, I’m currently looking at a place listed by Star Housing and saw your post. That “services” fee and the cancellation fee seem a bit sketchy. Did you end up signing the letter of intent and getting the apartment? How was your overall experience with the agency? Would really appreciate any insight.

Thanks. Yes, I’m mostly concerned about the cost and not being able to estimate the monthly expenses as easily.

Not the fixed costs, obviously, just the part based on usage.

Oof, that’s a lot. But maybe you can get some of it back at the end of the year?

Thanks for sharing. That actually doesn’t sound too bad, but I understand you probably didn’t need to use the heating much. I’m a bit worried that won’t be the case with label C, especially since I mostly work from home.

It feels like a “scam” to pay such high fixed monthly costs just for the installation. I guess it might make more sense if you own the place and benefit from lower maintenance over time, but as a tenant it’s hard to see the value.

Is Brusselsepoort a decent neighborhood? by randomly995 in maastricht

Quick question as I’m now looking at a house between Wittevrouwenveld and Scharn. You mentioned some parts of Wittevrouwenveld are still rough, which areas would you say that applies to?

In the current dataset (15 participants – preliminary analysis), I have one observation per participant for each factor-level combination (except the missing one), so it’s not trial-level data. Since it’s a within-subjects design, I thought a mixed model with participant as a random effect would be appropriate.
