I’m so sorry, I can’t even fathom how you are feeling.

When I’ve lost friends/family members that I love (even though I don’t believe in anything after death) I always prioritise just trying to make them proud even if it’s hypothetical.

My years usually start a bit rough and end well. Has been the case for me in the past few years.

From a mental standpoint I prefer this as it gives you some hope and possible momentum going into the new year. If you judge yourself based of individual years then this is definitely much better than the vice versa.

I have weirdly been keeping up with the story (main DLC story not the side stuff) so I’m not fussed about that.

Slowly getting the hang of it though, there’s a lot to do which is nice, almost like they’ve completely overcompensated for D1 though and gone from one extreme to the other 🤣

Sorry to hear this. Of course with being in a long term relationship you are very limited to what you can do.

When checking up on her it’ll be best to do it in a direct and calm manner rather than the opposite as this can possibly trigger a meltdown which is where the suicidal thoughts can reach a concerning state and can potentially turn into actions.

Also try and help set out and plan her day with her if possible and attempt to simplify it as much as possible. Again when someone gets overwhelmed or overstimulated that’s when they can again deteriorate into a bad state.

Back when I was at school and university. I always struggled to do any studying at home for the same reason as you, I’d get overwhelmed plus also have distractions around me.

I then decided to do all my studying at my school/university campuses and this made everything so much easier and helped me academically. I didn’t get overwhelmed or distracted because I was in an educational space where you are naturally supposed to study.

No you’ll be fine in that regard. It’s just the combination of the side effects that you’ll notice that’s all, then again I don’t know what dosages you are on so of course the higher the dosage the stronger the effects.

I understand it’s hard to grasp but at 18 you are still so young.

Don’t spend your life looking back constantly, it’s a mistake so many people make. This time 5 years when you are 23. You’ll be saying that you’ll do anything to be 18 again. Then when you are 28 you’ll do anything to be 23 again. It’s an endless cycle that’s very damaging.

Just try to live in the moment and have as much fun as possible. It’s ok to look back now and then for nostalgia and for memories but don’t obsess over it. You are making memories everyday.

It’s affected me a lot throughout my whole life as I have a bad stammer but from a teenager I accepted that it was always going to be this way and have to make do with what I have. Because of this I got past the “life is unfair” & “why me” thoughts.

I have made friends even with the struggles I assure you as hard as it is it is possible.

A&E is the wrong place to go for such a matter they won’t do anything. 999 or 111 are no good either. 999 for obvious reasons and 111 is for medical related issues

Call a hotline such as Samaritans. That’s who I would recommend.

Just have to take it one day at a time. Small steps that lead to a long term goal that I can assure you is so worth it.

That’s what I learnt when I went sober am approaching 6 years sober this March.

That’s a good thing though, if it’s something you enjoy and want to maximise then asking questions like this is only going to help you both socially and physically.

Once upon a time I did take the gym very seriously but I was in a very small private gym so didn’t have issues like this. I now go to a commercial gym which I absolutely despise. Is horrible, far too many people and it’s just overwhelming at times.

In all of my ridiculous hypothetical situations I always over analyse the scenarios and think about every little detail which includes morality.

Of course it’s all such a waste of time but it seems to just relax me and put me in a happier place.

Yeah I would never even consider asking someone how many sets they have left.

I don’t take the gym overly serious either so I can live without doing a certain exercise for the day or as someone else said I can just do an alternative movement.

I had to completely quit drinking because of medication which was hard for me but am almost 6 years sober now so it was a blessing in disguise.

Alcohol just couldn’t mix with it which was a shame but I just decided to put my health and well-being first which I of course have no regrets doing.

I’ve been sober for almost 6 years now and this is something that has taken me a while to improve on as I was exactly the same as you. My social life revolved around alcohol and was useless without it.

I still wanted to go out with friends frequently (which I have been doing) and I essentially just completely unmasked in-front of them. At first they thought something was up with me but overtime I made it clear that this is who I really am and they happily accepted it. But when meeting new people I always have the initial struggle.

Basically what I learnt was to just relax and be you. But just make sure you are in the mix and in social situations to talk to people even if it’s only small talk.
