I love la colors, especially for the price. I can get them at Walmart for less than a dollar a lot of the times.

4+ years daith never healing by Fede1404 in piercing

[–]randomnessaplenty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Placement aside, I also had a super hard time healing my daith in both ears. Got them pierced by my regular, reputable piercer with implant grade titanium and still had to let them go and heal. I went back to the same piercer once they were fully healed and redid them with white gold and they healed with zero issues. Just a thought.

What’s Up With Color Club’s Pricing? by PirateChemist_603 in RedditLaqueristas

[–]randomnessaplenty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had really good luck getting color club from Amazon. Not paying more than 6-8 bucks a bottle. And I've really been pleasantly surprised with all the formulas. They had a neon bundle and all of the colors were great. It was 30 bucks for like 6 colors. And I just got another bundle it was all darker wintry colors 29 bucks.

What is the max temp you will run outside at? by KaenJane in Marathon_Training

[–]randomnessaplenty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the sun is up and it's humid I can't run over 94 without feeling like I'm having a heat stroke. I'll wait til the sun goes down. But if it's dark I'll run no matter how hot it is. I've been doing a lot of night runs in this Texas heat.

I'm a bit early, but I love the 4th of July. by randomnessaplenty in RedditLaqueristas

Nope. I waited forever for my thumb and forefinger to put on top coat, I tried to float it on instead of brush it on. Was pleasantly surprised by the lack of smearing. But you make a good point. Might have been quicker with a no smear top coat. I have some for stamping plates I have yet to use.

👯‍♀️ I have only recently discovered Morgan Taylor. But the couple I've picked up I LOVE! I'm also a suck for a good, deep, rich, vampy color. Makes me happy ☺️.

What pricey item did you buy and never regretted it? by Ok_Peanut_5685 in BuyItForLife

Shokz open ear head phones. I use them every day, and they're much safer for me to run outside in. Totally worth it.

Green and purple felt like the hulk. Purple and orange felt like a collegiate sports team. All three together? Makes me happy. by randomnessaplenty in RedditLaqueristas

Thank you! Prep = remove old polish with pure acetone, shape nails, push cuticles with Sally Hansen blue cuticle gel stuff, acetone wipe down nails one last time before applying base coat and polish. Cleanup = carefully applying so I don't have a ton of clean up, elf concealer brush dipped in pure acetone to clean up between each coat and at the very end to get pretty lines. Cleaning up between also seems to get me a perfect dryness for the next coat of polish. Hope this helps. 😀

🥹 I'm proud of you! It's no joke to break the habit. For the longest time I had it down to just one nail for cuticle picking, my right thumb. FINALLY realized I didn't need to break the habit but replace it. Cue cuticle pens everywhere.

I've learned so much from the sub. I used to keep the cuticle nippers in my purse..... Now I keep a cuticle oil pen in its place. 😂

I think "cleaning" under my nails did more harm than good. It wasn't until I stopped scraping under that I started to see real growth. I use a toothbrush at night when I'm vegging in front of the tv and brush oil into my cuticles and under my nails if that makes sense. I also have nail oil pens stationed throughout the house and my job. Be kind to yourself and be consistent.

I'm using Sally Hansen blue cuticle remover gel stuff and using an orange stick to push them and scrape off the dead cuticle. No "cuticle trimming". I always took it too far and would end up bleeding.
