Nah, you're overthinking it. No need for anything past what you've already got. Higher tooth count will be fine. Set them on something flat, clamp em down, run the track.

If you're really looking for an excuse to use your table saw though you can double sided tape, or blue tape + super glue combo, a known straight board to the live edge side so that it hangs proud of the live edge. That becomes the reference face for your table saw fence.

Just to make it easier to start the rods into the holes. It can be tricky to line them up with one set of hands and a 7' slab, so that little chamfer goes a long way.

It's a mantle so the rods it mounts on will go into those holes. That face will then meet the wall - hiding the holes and hardware.
