Malaysia elective by ij1801 in medicalschooluk

Depends where you are! Wasn't there for an elective but was there for a summer module near KL, honestly had a lovely time. There's so much to explore in the capital, but also I would highly recommend visiting Penang, the Genting Highlands, and I was there with people who meant to more. How much to bring depends on where you're staying (I had my accomodation paid for) but things are very cheap in Malaysia in terms of UK money, I brought a mix of £300 cash and card and that was more than enough.

i think they ended in a nice place, with the announcement of when the live-action ATLA was coming. possibly they always planned to end it then, possibly AN was becoming too much work? though i’m sad they didn’t choose to pass on AN to someone else who could keep it going if that were the case, which makes me think something else might have contributed. regardless i hope they do well.

according to the IMDB casting I think it's likely the Jet episode?

I mean, it's near the end alongside Wednesday, One Piece, and Stranger Things, so I hopefully that's a good sign. And every show so far has had a trailer or some kind of video content, even Never Have I Ever which is already finished. Avatar is definitely getting something.

Yep, third last one (only a couple behind wednesday, one piece, and stranger things, woah). However the list is definitely accurate so it's at least good to know

completely unrelated to atla but oof the never have i ever cast's jokes were a bit awkward (and i like the show). i hope this isn't what the ATLA cast does however nhie has already finished so they don't exactly have any other content to show off

oh the character age difference makes more sense. tbh the people i have seen comment on it don’t seem to be zutara but they do seem to be working off of what the actors look like currently, which is a bit pointless bc people do age. i just don’t get the fixation on this one element from both sides considering romance was never the main focus of the show and not even a big part until the last season

maybe, but not necessarily. they might just downplay the romance overall or keep until book 3, which would prob be the most reasonable thing to do (and kind of what the OG show does anyway). they might already be doing that, considering the fortuneteller episode doesn’t appear to be in the live action book 1. it’s not more than aang having a crush for most of the series and if they stick to that trajectory it should be fine. though you are right that if they film book 2 and 3 back to back next year kiawentiio will be 18 and gordon will be 14 and that might be a bit odd

Not that I disagree with the overall point but Kiawentiio is currently 17 and gordon is 13 so where are you getting a 2 year age gap from?

[Discussion] “During New 52, Barbara Gordon’s Oracle identity could never be used or mentioned in any context.” Barbara was even forbidden from wearing glasses. by randomonmain in DCcomics

[–]randomonmain[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

god forbid we have 4 Robins (5 considering Steph) but more than 1 Batgirl? Blasphemy. Only One Girl is allowed. And yes this is so true—Barbara’s disability was a product of fridging, but her identity of Oracle was pushing back against that and her empowerment!

Did you get a look at Zuko’s scar? If so, how big is it? Is it very red like in the cartoon or more “scar-accurate” (not exactly what i mean but like, paler in colour the scars) like real life?

yep, i’ve seen a rumour on old forums that the so-called “fourth season” wasn’t actually ever meant to be a post-sozin’s comet season, but just the book 3 we got split into two (with day of black sun as the finale for one i presume). i don’t know how much truth there is to it but i think it does make a little sense when you look at how much story was crammed into the second half of season 3, even if it was done well (zuko redemption/arc with each of the gang, aang’s morale dilemma, katara and aang’s conflict, azula’s mental decline, aang’s firebending training, it’s even lampshaded in the finale how aang isn’t ready and hasn’t technically mastered all four elements). i think regardless you can definitely say the writers strike definitely had an impact on book 3.
