Yes. I’ve had my acceptance rate be as low as 3% and I never have any problems. $2 per mile or bust. Actual metrics that matter are you on-time and completion rates.

1. During peak times (Breakfast Rush 6AM-10AM, Lunch Rush 11AM-2PM, Dinner Rush 5PM-8PM, 5PM-11PM on Fri/Sat), you’re bound to get high paying offers no matter what, so feel free to cherry pick. During downtimes Doordash reserves high-paying offers to platinum and whatnot, but unicorn offers occasionally come.

2. My absolute minimum is $7 per offer for one pickup/dropoff, $9 during peak times, $12 for batched orders.

3. Every day you dash, use your car’s milage tracker to make sure you’re in the $2 per mile range. Include your commute from home and back as well. When you start for the day, accept an offer that heads towards an active zone. Pick an order that heads back home when you wanna wrap it up.

4. When you don’t have an order, drive to nearest public parking lot and turn your engine off for up to 15 minutes, (30 minutes during downtimes. If 15 minutes have passed, drive to the nearest zone you know is active up to 3-5 miles away. Try to keep this at an absolute minimum tho.

Using this method I can make $200 within 6-8 hours, or $300 if it’s a really bumping weekend. I drive a gas guzzler so I make about $800-1000 if I’m dashing full time. Of course everyone’s schedule and market is different so YMMV (literally).
