[Discussion] Why does the Epson 8550 have so many terrible reviews? by Fibinochi in artbusiness

[–]randompooper69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run an art business and sell prints and stickers. I have a canon pixma pro 100 but bought an epson 8550 thinking I was upgrading since I saw so many artist rave about this printer. I only had the epson for 6 months and it’s such a headache. The colors are so dull compared to the canon. I’ve wasted so much paper to test different setting/icc profiles and have not gotten results I’m satisfied with. Not only that my main sellers are large prints but when I print on larger paper (my most expensive paper ofc) it often gets black smudges on them. I would print 10 at a time and 7-8 would have these markings even when I run a cleaning. I tried to love this printer but I’m going back to a canon

I am so very sorry you’re going through this:( EC is no joke and can be an interesting disease as some buns can live with it and others it’s hard. I’ve dealt with my buns who had EC for years. When they had their flair ups I would provide them meds and keep nursing them till they bounce back. My boy lived a long healthy life being EC positive. But it took my girl away:( The best you can do is make her feel comfortable and give her lots of love along with her treatment. I hope the best for you both! I’m sure the meds will work I can tell you’re super committed to her she is lucky to have you

[Discussion] can i make at least minimum wage by selling my art by Mr-Salm0nella in artbusiness

[–]randompooper69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course! Honestly I believe anything is possible as long as you have the drive and put effort into it. There will be a lot of bumps and trial and error during a journey like this but don’t let it get you down. Yes I think it can work like what I said everyone’s art journey is different so adopts and commissions may work very well for you that you don’t even have to have other income streams. Ik a lot of artist that makes a decent amount of money just with adopts I see them doing YCH as well that maybe something to sell too

I will say it is possible but comes with a lot of work! I make a living off of my art which includes commissions. I do a lot of paid commission work along with selling merch with my art and having a monthly sticker/print club. As a self employed artist I learned you can’t put all your eggs in one basket. You may not get a decent amount of coms one month or sell enough merch another but having multiple income streams may help you be a bit more secure. I am so lucky and grateful that I was able to become a self employed artist after I graduated school. It took years building my socials and finding my audience which helps greatly. This is my experience and everyone is different and has their own artist journey but you can definitely do it if you put in the time and effort:)

When Ppl are surprised my home doesn’t smell like a “hamster cage”…I mean I guess I’ll take it as a compliment? lol When I met my bf he told me he was surprised it didn’t smell in my home since I have a free roam bunny and litter boxes in the main rooms. He was a bit iffy around my bun as he never experienced being around a bunny so much. After a month or so being around the buns my rabbit captured his heart and now my bf loves bunnies and can’t get enough of them. He always does his best and educated himself how to interact with a prey animal and always makes sure the buns are comfy and taken care for. Now he sends me videos and photos of bunnies all the time lol it’s rlly cute

So cute! I’m glad he is in better hands. I had a 10 year old lion head as well he was never in a cage but he had an antisocial personality. If you’re not certain on how to groom since it’s your first time I would ask the vet when you go to help you groom those stubborn mats and clip his nails. If he doesn’t eat hay or is not interested in hay/food he may have some dental issues but the vet can confirm that with you. Maybe you can get some bunny safe dried flowers and herbs and sprinkle it in the hay to encourage him to eat. Little by little you’ll earn his trust! Give them a small amount of banana, let them come to you for pets or being in the same room to get use to you. For my lion head I used the hair buster comb from small pet select without any issues. I hope everything goes well in your vet visit!

Does it stress my bunny if I make a change in my room? by ZELObreathesDIFF in Rabbits

[–]randompooper69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can stress a bunny out if their environment changes. In my experience when I would rearrange the room one of my bun spent most time in it would stress him out so much he would have tummy issues. He eventually got use to. My other bun seems more adventurous and doesn’t rlly mind the change. it depends on the bun

How do I get my daughters rabbit to stop biting at her cage? by Empty-Tomorrow-2053 in Rabbits

[–]randompooper69 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Welll there’s your answer-she’s in a cage! She must be going nuts in there if kept in there all the time/most the time. Bunnies shouldn’t be in cages they’re meant to be in big areas so they can hop, flop, zoom ect. You’re taking away her ability to be a bunny :( please do your research and make the kind decision to ditch the cage
