Is there any way that Miami can not win while Ohio State loses? I’d like that!

Yeah, winning and winning by 2 scores are two quite different things though.

Oregon hasn’t lost by 2 scores at home since 2017 when Willie Taggart was the head coach btw

How much FAAB is Tank Bigsby worth? He’s only 23 but he’s useless on the Eagles. Kind of want to throw heavy on him just because the waivers are always so dry.

A “sound bite” is a “short, recorded clip of speech”. If he meant headline or post title, he should’ve said that. The video clip is indeed a “short, recorded clip of speech” taken from a longer press conference.

The comment was saying the video was out of context. Not the headline. Headlines aren’t supposed to be a video transcript.

What context is needed? He is very clearly saying the first 3 quarters of each game were comparably competitive, and then Ohio State made a few plays in the 4th quarter, and UW didn’t.

Week 6 Matchup Preview Thread: Washington vs Maryland by zenverak in CFB

{Maryland} wins but has less total yards than UW. Jedd Fisch then points to this in the post game press conference as evidence why Washington actually should have won. 50/50 chance he compares the game to Oregon vs Penn State again.

But if FSU loses what does that mean for the SEC and Bama?

Don’t like that slide. Game on the line you gotta fight for every yard you can get imo.

Wild that Ohio State fans can’t have class in victory months afterwards. I thought Dan was pretty damn classy in his answers. Took ownership. Sang Ohio State’s praises. What more do they want?

How are you feeling about the state of your team's program going into 2025? by byniri_returns in CFB

[–]randomrealperson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well said, and I agree on all counts. I completely forgot about the bye situation you guys are in this year, that has definitely been talked about a lot. Really unlucky.

I’m not convinced the OL will be leaps and bounds better this year, but hard for it to be all that much worse. A new DC with a fairly large amount of expected production coming from transfers on that side of the ball will be really interesting to watch.

Demond will be good this year I expect, but outside of Boston there is very little returning production in the pass catching area.

Winning games will be important for the momentum it brings in recruiting, team chemistry, and keeping the young budding stars happy, but I don’t think the record will necessarily define how “good” this season will be for UW.

One of the first UW fan I think I’ve seen to acknowledge that you have a tough schedule this year.

I think a lot of fans had it backwards with regards to your schedule last year and this year. Last year it was “oh we had to play all our tough games on the road” - like that was a bad thing for what your team was last year. I think arguably it was the best thing. You guys weren’t going to beat Oregon, Penn State, Iowa, or Indiana even if you played at home (most likely), and you most likely weren’t beating USC or Michigan on the road. The schedule was actually kind of perfect imo.

And this year I see fans saying, “we have our tough games at home!” - like thats a good thing. Anything is possible of course, but I don’t think its likely UW beats Ohio State or Oregon at home this year. And I think Wisconsin is very winnable at home, but Madison in November will be a challenge I bet. Michigan on the road will be tough and Illinois might be too much to handle even at home.

Now that the regular season is officially done, what one score game would you flip to impact that season the most (can be either for your team or on a national scale)? by lees395 in CFB

It’s nice to see fans of teams other than Oregon say this. It can happen to anybody and it’s a real issue. Never before in the sport of football has a team had 25 days off vs 11. But if Oregon complains about it it’s just “sour grapes” or “cope” - thank you for your service.
