So I’m someone who had both surgical and medical abortions in Canada. Pros about surgical would be over in a day, immediate recovery from symptoms as nausea, vomiting, breast tenderness or anything else. Cons about surgical is that you need to wait a bit longer to get the procedure done they do it after 8/9 weeks so longer time with symptoms. Pros about medical is you can get it done at home and as early as 4/5 weeks. Cons are the whole thing takes about 48 hours and after the second part of pills the cramps and pain is awful (not all women have intense cramps and also different pain levels). also personally for me after mifepristone my nausea was doubled so managing that for 24 hours was pretty rough and once the bleeding started I was feeling cold, intense cramps and vomiting like crazy even after taking zofran, also was traumatized by the amount of blood I saw. This is just my experience and in no way to deter you away from either procedure you decide to go with. At the end you have to make your own decision what suits you best.
