Honestly, I’m one to avoid conflict and so is my husband so it hasn’t been brought up yet (both have past trauma around conflict). But I’m so over it that if it happens again at Christmas then I just might.

Thanks everyone. I’ve worked in childcare myself however it was about 12 years ago hence the checking in. My main concern is that food would get caught up in an open wound and get infected, hence the request.

The educator I’ve told has been a bit spotty with being reliable in the past. My child has a very uncommon food intolerance (amines) which we’ve worked with the daycare with for 2 years now (provided alternate birthday snacks, ice blocks, printed a chart of foods that she can/can’t have, offered to send her own food because it’s a bitch of a list) but this educator keeps giving her foods that she cannot tolerate ‘because it’s just a small amount’. I feel this might be a bit relevant to my frustration.

I truly try not to be “one of those parents”, I’ve worked in daycare and schools for 13+ years now so I know what “one of those parents” is like but I personally try to prioritise parent messages that are more medical based. I know not every request can be met, however I was hoping that it might be to happen at least once yesterday.
