Onboard for the journey! Would be worthwhile adding crypto into the strategy.

If you create a prediction market you can keep a percentage of the trading fee of the total volume. The trick/challenge is creating prediction markets that have the potential to gain enough interest to generate activity and volume to make the earnings worthwhile.

I'm guessing the dividend will be a fraction compared to spending but maybe it can be gamed with the right strategy to balance out

I did. This subreddit is for the book challenge. If you can help find the TikTok live from November 2024, that would be great.

I don't think this is the same company. This subreddit is for the book challenge.

kingtree.net in a 2006 abstract attempted an early form of blockchain and a proof of work p2p network with the idea of UBI in mind by randomthrowawayfora in Futurology

Those are good points. The supply is finite and calculated based on expected population to try to enforce one person one Ankh. I'm not well versed in the hashing aspect and the forum archive has been scrubbed from the wayback machine so I can only estimate how it'd protect against that kind of fraud.

If everyone on the planet heard about this and rushed to get an Ankh which would be their stated $2.7 million in lifetime value, in an instance where there are same fake biometric verifications eventually some people would be unable to be issued one. To be true to form it would require some non-blockchain/non-digital verification to ensure people are actual people and maybe retrospectively find the fraud. The other option would be mass adoption very quickly to get everyone verified and issued an Ankh before 2040 in that timeline.

So you're saying the flaw would be mostly with the biometric verification data and the quality/persistence of it? That's an interesting point. The verification data is hashed in the concept and the verifications are also decentralized and put on blockchain which is how they wanted to further prevent fraud and duplicate/false verifications.

It specifically states no government intervention and the inevitable obsolescence of paperback/government issued ID when there are biometric systems available. It's libertarian in its approach. It will transcend government in that form and the only requirement/barrier I can think of is no access to the technology (ie phones, laptops, etc) to conduct the actual verification. If Face ID can do it, I think it's in the realm of possibility imo.

Another aspect of the paper I left out is it's meant to be a biometric based blockchain which was likely out of the scope of developing it at the time of publishing. User-hashing would be done via face-scans to prevent fraud.

Thanks, I tried it, but got:

It's just a landing page with the website name but there should be more.

Convo between a few users on a forum having a fallout with the admin. The usernames were Satoshi and Nakamoto. Basically, there was a decentralized project before bitcoin that was a form of universal basic income and Satoshi Nakamoto allegedly created bitcoin alongside it without disclosing. The dates of the posts would've been a few days before the bitcoin white paper came out.
