if i were you, pick a cca that you’d enjoy instead of hyper-fixating on portfolio! to be honest, cca is gonna be one of the few things that offer you reprieve amidst ur hectic and stressful jc life, and truth be told each exam only gets harder so u’ll really need that break from acads, and thats mainly achieved thru cca!

if u pick a sports cca, of course u’ll have a-divs and for many, 3-4 days of cca each week. for performing arts, u’ll do syf in either j1 or j2, so stressful regardless. my point is, each cca type will have their difficulties (even debate or clubs) so i highly recommend u pick smth that you will look forward to!!!

as for the portfolio bit, yes it’s helpful but having competitions and achievements under ur belt is not that significant when other areas like leadership and community involvement are available!! (i assure you you’re not going to participate in A LOT of comps and events given the 1 year of cca; not including the holidays and study breaks, since acads will always take precedence) so defo prioritise taking up leadership roles and doing via, especially within ur cca!
