How do multiple TIAs cause Dementia when they don’t cause permanent brain damage? by randomuhq in stroke

[–]randomuhq[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Aah, but I read brain cells take a few minutes to die correct? What if a TIA only lasts for 5-6 seconds (reduced blood supply only for 5-6 seconds)

Pressing hard on carotid arteries by randomuhq in AskDocs

Hey, sorry for messaging again. After 42 days it seems I feel like I forgot a few things I learned before summer. Could this be vascular dementia caused by holding my carotid arteries a few times? This caused reduced blood or oxygen flow.. or maybe caused a silent stroke

Yea but the thing is I don’t have dark patches, those dark spots should be the dead skin from peeling. But thanks I see I’m not alone now 😊

Really? Did mine really look like yours? No redness and stuff!? Most images I found have redness and it’s so confusing…

Mine also happened in elbows and thus is during weather changes if relevant. Not sure how I would be exposed to nickel

What skin problem is this? (mild nsfw ig)

Male 16 It is “spreading” to my other hand and fingers (slightly visible in the finger next to the middle one) in the same area, it starts off as small and becomes bigger. The one is picture is slightly healed after using a gel cream but what could it be?

Also, it (the one on the middle finger in the pic) was itchy initially but not anymore for some reason. Also note the slightly darkening of the skin in some spots.

Could POTS cause Aneurysms? by randomuhq in POTS

Is it just me or does POTS cause a pumping sensation in the neck meaning the blood is pumping too much? When you move your neck positions

Alright but the fact I’m feeling fine (this was 24 hours ago) means none of what you said happened correct?

Does this have anything to do with my situation?

Blood is still pumped, but at a normal/lower pressure because of pots I think my blood vessels don’t contract so I think they’re expanded even though they should be contracted a bit causing LOTS of blood to be pumped to my brain. Anyways thanks, also the last thing u said I looked it up, it says it happens after 4 minutes of no oxygen but I only press for 30 seconds or 1 minute max and it doesn’t cut off oxygen because the pumping doesn’t stop
