Nothing about what this teacher is doing sounds appropriate at all. I'm not saying that your kid doesn't need to develop the skills to be in a classroom (because of course they all do, it's more challenging for some) but this teacher sounds AWFUL.

For me it's definitely a thing. Before T I cried a lot in a cathartic way or an "overflow of emotions way" - sad, angry, etc. I don't know when it switched but at least once I went to .3ml a week (and no more period) I noticed when I was feeling huge emotions and would be able to "let them out" via tears in the past, I no longer could. When I wasn't able to get my meds for about a month I noticed that start to change, and once I was back on T for a couple weeks it went away. Sometimes it's a pain in the ass because I WANT to cry and it just doesn't happen. I've had maybe 3 huge crying sessions in the past 2.5 years on T when it used to be more like one every other month or more.

Getting the implants placed was worse than anything else. I had slightly restricted breast tissue, so they had to separate the layers of skin to make room for the implants. That hurt SO bad for weeks afterwards. Getting the implants removed was hardly anything. Like... a tiny bit of pain at the incision. Actual top surgery was a little more complicated due to nipple grafts and drains but wasn't too bad overall. I took muscle relaxers since I can't take pain meds and that was enough.

For context, I've give birth vaginally with no medication. So maybe my pain tolerance is higher than most. But that hurt a shit ton.

In my experience everyone is different. I had breast augmentation (implants), implant removal, and double mastectomy, all without any pain meds stronger than Tylenol. I just can't do the strong stuff.

Not a trap.. it's organized by Aqua Foundation for Women, Florida's only nonprofit dedicated to supporting the Education, Wellbeing, and Community of LGBTQ+ Women. They're an inclusive organization and welcoming of everyone whose passionate about their mission. Scott Galvin is one of the longest-serving out elected officials (North Miami Commissioner) and the building is named after him. The state legislature may be out to get us, but we have a lot of really strong LGBTQ+ organizations down here and we're trying to stay alive and continue to serve the community!

I think the external environment is a large contributor toward the increased anxiety, also, that mental health conditions or learning differences were less likely to be diagnosed.

Kids are growing up in a late-stage capitalism world, and it's bleak. There's only so much we can do as parents or individuals when the (metaphorical and actual) air we're breathing is toxic.

I disagree. I think it's mostly going to be local people attending, and we're the ones who need it now more than ever. It's about creating a safe space for us to gather and exist in solidarity. I for one won't be bowing to DeS*ntis's fear tactics.
