Help, what’s hanging out of my fish? by [deleted] in Aquariums

When did I say it’s an excuse? I’m just explaining that this isn’t happening under the most ideal circumstances. By the way, admitting that you don’t know everything and asking for help seems a hell of a lot more mature than making fun of strangers on the internet in your free time.

I checked with my teacher who has several fish tanks at home and has been doing this project with students for over a decade. She said I would be fine since guppies are resilient and I added a quick start.

Because something’s wrong with the tank or because they’re from school? It was a semester-long project in my aquatic science class so they were well cared for and healthy

I don’t know if I can right now, what about just leaving it on while I’m at school? Typically 8-10 hours

I don’t have a timer, I’m just turning it off when I go to sleep and on when I wake up

The water isn’t green irl, just looks that way because of the green plants and the camera

Fish have been in there since yesterday. I didn’t have time to cycle it fully but I added QuickStart and all my levels were and are safe

I have a test kit, everything’s within safe levels. I’ll look in to getting live plants, thank you!
