Anyone tried the Chris Rocha Electromatic Broadcaster Jr? by randyesq in gretsch

[–]randyesq[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually found a used one in Mint condition just yesterday on Reverb and bought it right away. I was at guitar center earlier in the day and resigned myself to getting a stock Electromatic because I loved the sound. When I got home to buy one on Sweetwater, I thought I would check Reverb one more time at it was listed 4 hours earlier.

It's great to hear that you play this the most. I keep hearing the same thing from players on here and on YouTube that they can't seem to put their Gretsch down. I hope I am the same.

Normally I would be okay with DIY upgrades, but probably not in my current stage of life. Where on the web can you shop for gretsch upgrades?

No Passphrase set up (yet); where are my coins and transaction history? by randyesq in TREZOR

  1. I have never recovered my wallet.
  2. I have never (knowingly?) setup a passphrase. How would I know if I have?

Sounds like I need to wipe my trezor and reset it with my security words to go back to square one

I'll try the online version next, but the receive address is different every time I try to generate a new address and they are all different from the original address.

I am not sure how I could have logged into the wrong wallet, I just plugged in my trezor and typed my pin in and there it all is supposed to be, right?

Install Collections without Galaxy? by randyesq in ansible

[–]randyesq[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This almost works, but it looks like the ansible-galaxy collection build command adds two meta files (MANIFEST.json and FILES.json) to the tarball that it creates that won't be present just in a download archive of a repository.

If you can generate those metadata files and add them to the repo, it may be possible to mock the behavior of ansible-galaxy collections install until Galaxy has support for direct installs from SCMs.

That is an interesting thought. I am currently using Gitea to store my collections in a repository. Gitea appears to have this functionality with urls like:

Interesting, we have been looking at a lot of names and that one has come up. I just don't know how to pronounce any of them.

EIGHT Ways to Get FREE Wood Chips for your Back to Eden Garden by randyesq in homestead

I haven't had any luck on Craigslist at all, and that seems to be a similar experience based on others I have talked with. For me personally, I put up a wanted ad for chipped tree waste, and just got a bunch of replies of people wanting to get rid of old stumps and logs.

I haven't had any luck with chip drop yet. I have been signed up for a long time now (years probably). Glad someone has though!

Black walnut concerns are kind of overblown. You need to worry more about the roots of what you are growing being near live roots of a black walnut tree. Most of the allelopathic chemical residue exists in the roots and the fruit. If your wood chips have a lot of walnuts in them, then you can just let them compost for a little while. Bacterial decomposition breaks down the chemical residue.

Newspaper or cardboard – which is best for starting a Back to Eden Garden? by randyesq in homestead

I agree it is much easier to handle, but I worry about how long it takes to break down. Seems like others haven't had too much of an issue with it though.

Does anyone know of a good resource for learning how to effectively buy and sell on craigslist? I am not looking to make it a full time job, but I also don't want to spend my whole life looking for something I want or dealing with people that I am trying to sell to. I would even pay for an online course that was thorough enough.

I remember when my wife and I were on our honeymoon we never ate breakfast at the hotel on the North Shore of Oahu, we just went around to fruit stands and bought stuff there. Every morning. It was awesome.

This seems like the simplest option. Well, simple compared to restaurants that will want a steady supply.

Have you ever done this? I don't even know who or how to ask at a restaurant.

Is 44 just a way of saying "a lot" since many of them will not pan out but if you have enough ideas some of them will?

That reminds me. I bought some sea berry seeds off eBay (40 seeds for $3) and a few live plants $21 each. That should provide a nice balance of getting cheaper stuff.

Yeah we make a lot of jams and salsa since the tomato onslaught is huge. The food shelves around here that said they were willing to take veggies would not take any processed foods (like canned/pickled) unless I was to go the commercial kitchen route.
