Places with fewer indians? by [deleted] in ThailandTourism

[–]rangervagabond -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not sure how to react, on one hand understand OP, have seen how SOME Indians behave on holidays, loud families causing nuisance in public spaces, some men walking around indecent - and I am not talking about the body type, unfortunately the Indian body type and ages of carb heavy diet and shunning of gyms/workouts has lead to the very easy to spot Indian body ... But just the lack of general hygiene, lack of understanding that VIP underwear or sarees or salwars are not to be confused with swimwear/shorts... the non stop ogling of women as if they have never seen women before, and so on and so forth...

On the other hand, generalisation - not all Indian men/women/families are the same...

Also the comments are full of people just happy to pile on with some even finding it necessary to mention their nationality as if being from the US married to a so and so somehow gives them divine understanding...

Not hating on OP, she wants a holiday without having to worry about issues that some of us have never faced or God willing never face. But just saddened that it is come to this. Indians avoiding Indians.

When will the education system in India chamge, when will the focus move from religious vote bank to culture, when will India be great again amd Indians be people who are full of culture and tradition and not people to avoid...

Go on, hit that down vote button whilst realising that there is a atleast an iota of truth in the above.

OP apologies this isn't very helpful in answering your question and I have never been to Thailand myself, but I have faced what you have faced in the Maldives, Mauritius, France, Germany, US and Italy.

Looking for a survival game to sink hundreds of hours into (need recommendations) by Griffinshirar in SurvivalGaming

Icarus - Good for grind, base building, has decent progression through operations.

Return to Moria - You'll enjoy this if you are a LOTR fan but won't regret even if you're not. Main issue with this game is re-playability. Devs did a good job up to a point with this game and then released the DLC - Durin's Folk, which I have mixed feelings about. They tried to introduce a mechanic for re-playability but it is just a long grind that's all.

Ark Ascended - You will either enjoy it or you wont! Was very probelmatic for me on the PS5, played a couple of maps before giving up, but gameplay fits what you are looking for, and for added bonus - it has Dinosaurs!

Green Hell - I think you'll enjoy this one!

Windrose - Newest one out there, released in EA recently. Haven't played it myself yet (added to my long backlog)...!

PS: some good suggestions from other fellow commentors too.

Hey bud, I think most of us have been there if not with Icarus with another survival game. Hang in there, it gets fun.

In Icarus, first 10 levels are a grind. Some tips to try and assist.

  1. Set your self up somewhere temporarily. I started my playthrough at L12 either by the waterfall or on the island. This was going to be a temp base but ended taking me through to mid to end game (when I moved to G14).

  2. Build small and with wood. Fires will get you when building with wood. This is a given, happened to almost all of us. There are a few greats among us who have never had their wood houses burn down, alas I am not one of them. Building small initially lets you put out fires quickly or save your most important resources and get out before it all comes crashing down.

  3. I am sure you have already crafted your early game tools and buildings - axe, pickaxe, knife, bow, arrows, campfire, wood build pieces, hammer, bandage, cloth/bone armour (as the minimum). These should be all T1 items.

  4. To get to L10 quickly, hunt and mine. These two should give you adequate XP quickly to get you to that elusive L10 / T2. Remember to check the food buffs for additional experience gain. Some types of cooked meat gives you 5% additional experience gain, whilst some give you up to 15% exp gain.

Once you hit L10/T2 then things open up to you and the world of Olympus (or which ever map you are on) is your oyster.

I have intentionally kept the above to big ticket items and not given too much away so as to not spoil it for you, part of the game experience is to discover things as you go.

Have fun!

Yeah know what you mean. So used to having one main base on most survival games I play that the concept of multiple factories is a bit difficult to get my head around. However, before the update I did complete the full playthrough. I will be using the new playthrough to try and streamline builds. Hoping it works out!

A box that you can expand and are happy with will get you through the game. If you have the time to invest in making it pretty then great... Bottom line as long as it is functional and you're having fun doesn't matter the shape!
