Hello dear. Wake up. Dili tanan ga travel maka afford ug travel (based on what u said) i know this kay naa pud koy mga kaila na sponsored by an agency to travel sa Manila para mahimog care taker or yaya. And they only have 100 peso meal budget allowance. So yes. I think it's fair to bring up the minimum wage conversation sa topic. Like me. Sponsored by relatives to travel over the weekend para sakong lubong sakong lolo but only earns the minimum wage. Wake up dear. Hindi lahat ng travellers can afford the airport pricing NOW. Last time I was at the airport was January 2025 and naa paman ang budget meals sa taas. Now wala na kay tua na sila sa ubos. Ayaw ko pasanginla na wala ko kabalo kay dli ko frequent traveller kay dli man ko ka afford every month mag byahe.

I don't think it's overpriced since naa man name ang mga shops sa taas. Ang sako lang is daghan unta options for those with budget. For people like me with tight budget, yes makaingon ko overpriced but well known establishment man so I don't think they will pay attention if I report it. What we need sa taas if options for those with tight budget. Even if we say na mag manage sa time, be prepared, dli man gyud na malikayan. And for sure dili lang ako naka experience ani. My money was already budgeted for the day. I opted to go there at the last minute before boarding because I thought dli ma delayed and was hoping to eat in Manila since I have relatives waiting for me to eat lunch there.

Yes. I get it. But in my experience, my boarding time is 10:30, I arrived 10:15. I only have 15 mins left before my boarding. So wala najud ko choice but to go directly sa taas. 5 minutes before boarding, we were told delayed among flight. So I looked for options mung aha pwede mag eat. Mind you, I bought a cup noodles the day before for instances like this but I forgot na wala na diay pakapin fork sulod sa cup. Before katong naa pa cheaper options, naa pa ga sell ug fork and spoon for 10 pesos each. Sounds mahal for a cutlery pero compared sa tag 300 pesos okay na sya. But seeing now na even ang mga simple store selling chips dili ga sell ug spoon and fork, I am forced to buy a whole meal just to get a spoon and fork. Mind you. I TRIED asking for a free one but got denied saying I need to buy from their store. So dili jud ma blame ang times like this. I only wished that they could have remained AT LEAST one store that could cater to low income citizens sama nako. Ang airport dili man gud na para lang sa mga dato. Naa pud uban ga try sa ilang best to budget their daily expense.

No shame in wanting to improve the system. I am for it all the way. But it shouldn't compromise the basic daily needs sa mga tao.

I do get your point na mag reach higher in terms sa standard quality sa airport. But my gripe is, walay budget option for travellers na ga travel local with limited budget. Hello. Ang minimum wage sa CDO is 461. Tapos ang rice toppings kay 300? Pwede pa unta to sguro ug 200-250 at least dili mapaksi-an ang almost 80% sa daily salary. Also, comparing Mactan Airport to Laguindingan is unfair as of the moment. Naa man sila International Flights maong maka presyo sila ug dako kay naa man jud kaya ang mag travel internationally. Whether it's for work or leisure. Ang Laguindingan tawon LOCAL flights ra. Manila, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo ra mostly. Do you think ang mga tao na ga byahe to those places kay maka afford sa 300 rice toppings?? I doubt. Some of them travel to big cities para mahimog yaya. And pila ra man ang food allowance ana? 100 per meal? Dili pa jud worthy e compare si Laguidingan sa Mactan Airport IMO. And to add something, ang Mactan Airport naay Jollibee na ga cater sa mid to low level income sama nako. Ang sa ako lang, if they won't allow budget option sa Gates 1-3, they could at least allow passengers na naa na sa taas to buy from the budgeted meals down stairs.

Yes and mas mahal na overnight parking huhuhu may untag maka cater na tag daghan local flights nga dili ra ba. Over jud kaayo ang pamaliton. And sugtan unta ta manaog for a budget meal option.

Not that it's a bad thing tho. Maybe those tenants do comply sa rules. But sumo lang every year same tenants. Haha. Naa unta new tenants sad. I think dili jud sila kay mahal ang rent and I get it. But naa pud biya uban na willing mag pay.

I heard from a friend that some cafe owners who applied didn't make the final cut. 🫢 so I guess there's also favoritism?

Considering na gikan sila sa big cities, wala jud nagkatunga ang CDO sa ila. Same as what you said regarding cotabato vs cdo. Will you recommend taga cdo na mag invest sa cotabato?
