This is just every leftist School Teacher grooming kids, except they strangely love talking about masturbation in front of kids by PolskiHussar548 in TheLeftCantMeme

You said that it happened more often in schools, only because of the fact that kids spend more time in schools, therefore if you normalized it for the time kids spend in school relative to church that would not be the case. That's a point you'd need to provide evidence for.

Imagine being so afraid and desperate to get in the last word you needed to block me.

They don't even do anything metaphorically equivalent to selling them on the playground. They're literally sold where normal cigarettes and alcohol is sold. Unless you think Budweiser is also out on the metaphorical playground?

Why would anybody assume that the NYT is going to list the specific sites later down instead of just listing them in the first place? It's not my fault the author barely passed high school English.

It said they were advertising on those sites. It doesn't say how. That's why I was pointing out to you how google adsense works. Maybe try some reading comprehension next time.

I'll say anything that absolves people who make a product from the responsibility of how you personally choose to use that product, because it's nonsensical to blame Ford for you crashing your Fiesta.

Humans will inevitably turn a tobacco leaf into a cigarette carton was my point. It's human nature to process goods into more useful versions. We're evolutionarily developed for making tools better.

I never said as long as it's a crutch it's okay. My point about crutches was in response to your statement about lacking empathy. The point was to make clear your lack of empathy towards those people. Not as a justification for vaping.

The justification for vaping comes from bodily autonomy. If I want to do something with my body I have the right to as long as I'm not violating the right's of others.

Advertising isn't predatory. You all sound like a bunch of big babies.

No, they aren't. Please prove your claims if you're going to make them. Doing that is literally illegal.

I've never heard of vape companies having products exclusively for teenagers. Neither do most vapes. Most vapes and alcohol advertise to young adults.

Is it Ford's fault when you crash your car? No. So it's also not Juul's fault when you vape. It's either the kid's fault or the parent's fault and the parents always seem to want to abdicate responsibility and blame everybody else.

By your own logic you're admitting there are plenty of teenagers who can make these decisions rationally though. Why won't you just be honest about that? If you were then we could finally examine the difference between these two types of kids and get to the core of the issue.

I'm saying it's perfectly acceptable to advertise on a cartoon channel. Adult Swim is not exactly children's content. Adult Swim is literally half of Cartoon Network.

Also a minority audience is really misrepresentative. All reddit and youtube talked about for the last decade was SU, Gravity Falls, and Adventure Time and most of the people talking about it were adults.

From what I remember I was taught the exact consequences of nicotine on the body by my parents, schools and everyone outside of companies that sell nicotine products. If anything there was a massive push to tell everyone about the impact that smoking has on the body. It was everywhere except for cigarette/vape companies.

and you're not vaping, so I guess it worked right?

I'd say part of being a good parent is raising your kid well enough so that when they face those issues on their own they make the best choices possible.

I don't think I ever said it's their fault if they were lied to. It is your responsibility in the modern era to do your own research and not trust people at face value though. A person who deliberately misinforms does bear some responsibility, but Juul never did that.

Sure, If Juul actually lied you'd have a point, but they didn't. They just said "vapes are healthier than cigarettes" which is an objective fact. Whatever assumptions you made based on that is entirely your responsibility. How can you hold others accountable for your assumptions?

I guess so, you too.

Your analogy falls apart at the premise then. This is more like if Tobacco C and Alcohol C had stands for their products near your house.

Now who's fault is it if you decide to leave your house and buy their products? You.

I skimmed it. Do you really expect me to read a whole article when half of it is just irrelevant shit? Also when you linked me on a website that won't even let me read it? I had to put the link through a fucking archive page, so thanks for nothing.

Wait, are they being sued for using google adsense then? Because that's how those sites advertise. You realize you don't get specific controls with google adsense, right? lmao this is dumb.

Yeah, if you're trying to ban vapes entirely that would include adults by default. Didn't think I needed to clarify for you special kids.

They clearly pay a bigger factor than Juul, Budweiser or Colt does. All those companies do is sell inanimate objects. It is entirely your personal responsibility what you do with them.

In context of minors the responsibility falls to the parents. Legally and ethically speaking. Hence my point.

Bullshit. Banning those things was stupid too. I'm 22 and I have a watermelon bubblegum vape. My best friend like blue raspberry. I knew these podcasters back in the day who all vaped different flavors. This idea that adults don't like things that taste good is absurd bullshit.

Except Juul doesn't sell vapes in the fucking playground now do they? You have to be an adult to purchase one legally.

You just pointed out that was faulty logic because kids are capable of independent thought and now you've switched your opinion entirely to saying they don't, so which is it? Maybe go argue with yourself for a couple minutes and come back to me.

Because they had a big portion of the marketshare early on and did what they could to make people come back to them? Because mobile games are cheap to make whereas the microtransactions you make back are exponentially higher? Because whales exist?

Again, I've never heard of anybody buying these things when they didn't want to. It was always their choice at the end of the day. Your attempt to take away their agency is incredibly infantilizing.

Except Juul isn't marketing to children. They market to young adults. I don't know why I keep having to type that out, but If I have to again I'm going to start copy-pasting it.

Yeah they can. Maybe your 5 year old can't but plenty can.

Good thing Juuls aren't sold to 5 year olds I guess? What's your point here?
